  1. I can honestly tell you that I've never made a mistake. I nearly did once but then realised I was wrong and decided I’d never make that mistake again.
  2. Great work CHF and content provided by others. I personally think it's going to need more than just the big 4 propelling us back up this year. You know what you're getting with those guys and while it will provide the bulk of our engine room and drive forward, the league has moved more towards pace and skill through the middle and this is where the draw cards come in. Rivers rotating through gives us that bounce when needed and the injection of guys like Langford and Kolt rotating through will hopefully give us a fresh look. It's a collective effort but I am hoping to see some unprecedented growth form somewhere.
  3. I'll quit my job, sell my car, throw my golf clubs into the lake, toilet paper bomb the neighbourhood, throw the toaster out the window, burn the newspaper with this on the front page then urinate on the ashes then send what's left in a rocket to the white house doorstep.

And it says a lot that a team like the Falcons who have predominantly had that conventional drop-back passing offense and had success with it in the past. It was a passing league for a long stretch but we're starting to see a lot of dual-threat guys who can run but actually have elite throwing ability. Morris and in particular Zac Robinson like to play fast and aggressive. I can definitely see a mobile QB who can make quick decisions and extend plays with his legs on their radar.

Don't know if anyone caught the National Championship on Tuesday but unfortunately the Buckeyes were just a bit too strong for the Fighting Irish on the night. I've always found Notre Dame to be similar to the Dees in the sense of being a sleeping giant so it would have been nice to see them break through. Haven't won it since the Lou Holtz days in the 80s. The other annoying thing is seeing Mcguire jr's name plastered all over the news. I just don't have time for the way Aus covers the American Football!

I too think it's time for the Bills. Defense looks balanced, Allen on fire. I'm pulling for them.
  7. There's mid rotations like Rivers that have worked and ones like Salem and McVee that haven't taken. Behind the ball is where I'd expect the latter two to start.
  8. I guess it's more for his consultancy experience. But even then, why bother?
  9. At least we now have someone on Jeffo watch..

Dual threat QBs are the hot topic. I haven't paid much attention to the Class of College QBs this year, will have to get our heads around it as I would also like to draft someone to sit.
  13. I'd rather get all the mistakes out of the way in pre season so the more mistakes the better.
  14. That's right. Save the attacking for an attacking brand of footy.

I'd definitely stay with Stafford for now. You can do a hell of a lot worse.

Or Russell Wilson if you feel like completely overhauling your offense!

    Go the Demon!
  18. Tom Fullarton says everything you need to know about coming to footy later on in life with a basketball background. You might get by in the body on body ruckwork but learning true footy sense and smarts is a big ask when you don't grow up with the sport. Not saying it can't happen but I've seen enough of the 200cm + basketballer come footballer for the moment.
  19. If we don't pick Jackson and Kozzie, we don't win that flag. It really is as simple as that.

Posting more than Fedex right now but just a reminder that the College Football National Championship is on today at 11:30am on ESPN between heavyweights Notre Dame and Ohio State. The Buckeyes are favourites but I'm on the Irish today. Hopefully can sneak a glimpse at work.

We've asked him to come back as DC. Pack it in Robert, this HC game is tough.

Rozeboom is a free agent as well I believe? Thought he had a good season and you'd want to get him signed. I don't think you'd be doing better than Stafford under centre next season. Unless they fancy guys like Darnold, Fields or feel like making a play for Rodgers. Nup.

No doubt, healthy D will be the barometer for them. I think it's a big time for Campbell though, great coaches have great coordinators leave for better jobs, can Dan work the magic? I think if Kupp alone played they would have won it, you just can't put a price on those receivers who find that yard of space in big games.
