Exactly, that flag was as serious as it gets and no-one can take it away from us. However it satisfies the need 95% for people like you and I. For armchair fans nothing really changed last year, they would have watched on TV and enjoyed it the same. I feel like the gameday experience, the chance to go to a Grand Final parade, captain's run, day after celebration at Gosch's was taken from us. Even the December celebration thing still had losers and journos from other clubs accusing us of milking it for all it was worth and conveniently forgetting that we were robbed of those moments. There will always be that to hunt for now.

Agree, thought everyone was really gee'd up and when we had those little bursts late they tried to get us over the line. Thought Brissy's fans were pretty good late in the game too which sucked though.

Was it a waste of a season or a wasted season? Put simply, can you say that this season was enjoyable but that in the end we ultimately failed? I think that is precisely what happened. Winning a final would have been a pass mark but this is not. We have failed and need to learn from it.

It is sort of funny how one food is offensive but another is endearing!

When it comes to academy stuff, the Mac Andrew thing really burns my waffles.

That line may have flown when we were going no-where and not getting a bee's diaphragm near finals but after two top 4s and a flag it doesn't wash does it.

There was no way around it. We were never going to be a premiership team once we had the 4th one of these. Not enough criticism was levelled our way from this, it was all ok because of loading and all that. Our mentality and mindset was a complete shambles after all that and we died. Fade outs don't win flags.

Ok here we go. It's been 3 hours, enough time to get all the crap out of our system. Edit: Fell asleep and only just posted now. It was approximately 1 week and 6 hours ago that we were on the eve of a finals series with our flag hopes still relatively high. Oh, how, the, mighty, have, fallen! 10-0 to start the season, top 4 for a lot of the year, top 2 for a lot of the year and have bowed out in straight sets. There's no way around it, this is crap. Injuries took their toll, we were behind the 8 ball when guys like Lever played the whole year through the pain barrier. Still can't get the head around it, it's a joke. The loading theory is dead, we wasted so much time talking about it and come finals time we looked like pi** fitness wise. Running on top of the ground my foot, what a let down. All the people last week who celebrated when Brisbane won because it meant we had a 'guaranteed prelim' hang your heads in shame. Nothing more that you can say on that but you gotta wear that. Very hard to summarise the feeling right now. Third top 4 finish under a top 8 system and we've managed to tick off the straight sets exit off the bucket list. Yay. Nothing more to add right now.
