  1. Essendon are a joke.
  2. Watched a couple of his games now, there's definitely something about him that screams AFL.
  3. Commentary has been torturous
  4. Sounds like Springfield has a discipline problem!
  5. Sounds like a bottler
  6. The best Jerry, the best.
  7. I'm doing something else, this is crap.
  8. He has the EQ of a stick
  9. This game stinks
  10. Honestly I reckon Mitch Robinson would even be a better captain than Zorko at this point.
  11. As if this thread isn't jumping the gun enough! 😛 Honestly though it would take a brave man to displace Melksham from the side right now.
  12. Knowing them they probably just reported on it now..
  13. Deserves a good send off. Stick it up those cowboys
  14. Have to agree wholeheartedly EO. We looked to have an extra yard of pace, extra ability to close players down and running the lines as well as we have this year. Whenever there was down the ground vision at a Brisbane kick in we had our structure setup within 2 seconds. I said this in the post game but all those things we bemoan when we lose but never give enough credit to when we win like: "We didn't close off the corridor, we didn't roll the zone over quick enough and cut the switch out, we didn't shut off the exits" we did all those things in spades last night. These things don't just happen by chance and there is really no other way to explain how it did happen other than with fresher legs and longevity in our aerobic and anaerobic output. The layman would say that we were just more fired up for this one, maybe true but this was mostly a 4 quarter effort against a very good side om their deck. It's not luck, it's not chance, it's not just Bris being crap. So totally agree being able to run it out played a huge part. It's a game I would have loved to have watched live from the stands but if I had to guess I reckon our 22 was moving at all times and rarely flat footed, moving when the ball carrier moves so to speak. It was a joy to watch. When it came to the 'shot selection' kicking into the 50, we went from being highly predictable to completely the opposite. We hit men up short, in the pocket and used the bomb occasionally but because it was mixed up the bomb came when they least expected it. Decision making wise, it was probably as good as we've had this year. All staff deserve credit: coaches, fitness, playing group.
  15. I was one of them. I was calling the game as I saw it and thought they were cheap goals to give away which most would believe was correct. Also if we get pipped by a splifteenth of a % and have to go to Sydney first week it could be seen as a valid concern. Moved on from it now but would hardly think those comments were veil of negativity worthy.
  16. Nah I hear ya, buying the foil premiership poster was enough to make me feel gritty.
  17. Luke was red hot last night. Let's just leave it at that for now.
  18. This is why the AFL needs a proper code of conduct watch.
  19. It really is and has been their mantra for years. Not sure how much it plays a part in their first week failures but it can't help. I feel like I reference Binman in every second footy conversation I have lately even off DL but he made such a good point with regards to soft tissue injuries. How many of these have we actually had this season? Look at Geelong and Collingwood, soft tissue city at the moment. There's no surefire way around avoiding soft tissue injuries and rest isn't necessariy the answer, especially when there's a pre finals bye.
  20. Very hard act to follow Deever, we've been blessed. We've got the right people waiting in the wings though and Mr Lever's case gets better each week.
  21. +1 for this. Let's move on.
  22. No offence to the guy (just like he probably meant no offence to Petty) but it's my belief that he's the weakest skipper in the competition.
  23. Tell your story walking boys..
  24. Give me the grudge match Deever! But unlikely.
  25. Two weeks to think about it.
