I'll give him some warm acknowledgement before the game in a thankful manner. But when that ball is bounced he's just another opposition player.

I'll concede that there were other options but going at the ball full tilt and then trying to direct a punch in a certain direction when you're about to get cleaned up by an opposition player is a lot more difficult than it looks, I would have thought benefit of the doubt in this scenario. When it comes to the option of taking possession, how do they know he wasn't trying to do that? It wasn't like there had been a high ball bouncing around predictably, that Richmond player soccer hacked it and it was pinging around like crazy, Brayshaw did what any good player would. Anyway it's done now, happy to move on and I'm sure we'll see something similar in the next few weeks not paid deliberate.

Would just be nice to see him get a run, especially if some of these wholesale management changes are being suggested. However in terms of giving someone a run I'd be leaning to someone like Turner to get his experience up.

Could you really see them taking the bold new path though? it's a shame but with everything that has happened they were likely going to opt for stability. I would have liked to have seen something different though. Someone from club land like Brendan Gale would have been a great choice and I would have liked to see Kylie Rogers go further in the race as well. 24 years in media and responsible for the re-naming of Docklands to Marvel which has been a huge success. It was a good opportunity to forge a new path but I'm not surprised.

I'd love to see one of Turner of Schache given a run in this game.

If you're talking pure palming ability then I think you may be onto something. What Gawn does so well to me is vary his taps and his awareness of where his mids are has to be among the best. Taps forward, to the side, over the shoulder, I don't think I've ever seen anyone with the versatility and creativity of Max's hit outs. Having said that though, he's not the best pure palmer of the ball going round. Grundy was excellent in the 3rd and he was putting just enough weight on those taps to give our mids a chance. That kind of tap is like a Chess move where you think a few moves ahead.

Fair enough, I didn't see the ball knock as it was on the other side but that makes sense now. That's right on the 50, had he held for a split second longer I reckon they might have paid it.

Can we boost the talent pool over time enough to compensate? That's the question. Otherwise extremely happy for Tassie to be inching closer.
