PREGAME: Rd 17 vs St. Kilda
Flawed stadium right from the get-go. Acoustics are weird, it's useless with the roof open and looking north so you get plenty of sun in your eyes, the grass is on a concrete base so it was never going to be anything particularly good as a surface and it has always had major issues trying to get people in or out in a timely fashion.

The Soccer thread
Arsenal closing in on Declan Rice with the fee believed to be in the region of £105 mil. Huge outlay but a small price to pay if it keeps them in the title race.

Petracca’s goalkicking
Yeah that's not gonna do anyone any favours in the head. The guy doesn't need a total revamp, just a 10% improvement would see him back to a decent level. A lot of his shots recently have been from open play as well.

What They Are Saying at Linton St
I no longer care for unbridled pessimism on the other team threads. They can all get stuffed.

Darren Bennett's goal kicking
Yes, yes yes. What a sensation DB was. See that ball in his set shot routine in the vid. It does not move at all! No fluffing around and popping it every which way.

Garry Lyon analysis
Most of his points were real common sense stuff though Rjay. Kicking to 2 on ones in the pocket when there's an easy short option available, Nibbler needing the poise to get a little dink kick to Hunter and just better overall decision making required. See your point though, might listen to Sando more.

Garry Lyon analysis
Totally forgot about the Nibbler whiffed kick to Hunter, just a simple pop up would have done it.

Petracca’s goalkicking
Our gamestyle is NQR at the moment but our goalkicking is doing it a massive disservice. Despite all our grievances with ball movement and forward structure, we are still generating a swag of scoring opportunities in these games and simply not converting. When we get to the level of inaccuracy that we’ve seen in the past month is a new and tweaked gameplan going to change this all that much? Sure some of our shots have been from tough positions, not all of them and not over a month of football. There is a critical mass of data and unfortunately in a two-team sport you don’t get the luxury of taking all your shots 30m out directly in front. Ball movement and forward structure would help but I can’t help but think if we’d nailed some more shots at goal and picked up 2 extra wins we wouldn’t be putting it under the magnifying glass as much.

2023 Injury List
That's what I'm thinking. Like it could be something you look back to and notice how he moved differently before it. Hope not, all we can do is hope not.

2023 Injury List
'potentially not season ending' is something as I was bracing myself for 'potentially career threatening'.

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs St. Kilda
I appreciate this post and agree with all of it. The question I have though is how many times can we say that Max is scragged and bashed around at marking contests, it's becoming rather trite and it feels like we've been saying this the whole season. We either need to do something about it and make offenders accountable with a response or alter our gameplan. He's still one of our best and most important players and too good to be a decoy.

The Run Home
Think we need to run the table or at very least for 3-1 in the next month to have any shot at top 4. Slightly tall order but can be done. We must change things though, hoping out of crisis comes some kind of revolution.
