  1. Got no time for him
  2. Gerard hates MFC like it's a sport and it's in his contract.
  3. Argh. I've been listening to the normal loser SEN coverage

  13. As a kid growing up 30 years after this flag all I had to go by was the 60 seconds of highlights they showed on the grand final marathon. I have the Gabelich and Crompton goals with newsreel commentary burned in.
  14. Still pretty sick. Heading in now but may not go the distance. At least get me a good first half of footy.
  15. The best part is that we were already talking about draft concessions before anything other than a name and logo got done.

Needs to reinvent himself a bit. He perfected his role in 2021, there was a brilliant article written on this back then and I will share if I cna find it. But with the way we're looking to play I'm not sure if the 3rd man in floater is going to be as prevalent and if it is then you probably need to hold your own in 1v1s. He needs someone taking the first and second key forward to be effective and the burning example of this came in that 2021 KB game in Sydney when Petty went off. With Letty returning to the forward line I don't see anything that could be different. I hope he can get back to something good. Edit: Article mentioned not active anymore, you'll have to stick it in the wayback machine https://footytalkingpoints.com.au/2021/08/17/the-intercept-king/
  17. Pretty much any story, news, analysis of Jackson should be accompanied by some fresh MFC speculation. Ie. "Luke Jackson spent a lot of time as an inside mid against the Suns to good effect. Could the Dees be interested in an inside Mid, how does this effect MFC in 2026?"
  18. If that's old fashioned thinking then we'd really have no problem.
  19. Ok. As mentioned, sick at the moment and everything probably looks 40 degrees right now.
  20. Something that really peeves me off about this season is these long standing winning streaks over teams like North (Last win 2019), Hawthorn (Last win 2018) and St Kilda (last win 2019) are broken now. These statistics might not even cross the minds of most but when we were a developing club on the up, it meant a lot to me to break some of the long standing hoodoos we had against teams and incidently these 3 teams had the wood over us for 10 years plus. It's not going to explain a whole lot but I just happen to feel that the fact that so many streaks we built over a few years are snapping this year is not a very good one.
  21. Guys help me out here. Your season is on the line, you've been mostly garbage but you're 3 goals down at 3QT. Everything hinges on this last quarter. You come out with a pressure rating of 130 in a quarter that was anything but kick-mark. It boggles the mind.
  22. Yeah shut the gate this it. No further questions your honour. Ditto: 6 Gawn 5 May 4 McVee 3 Bowey 2 Turner 1 Petracca
  23. They may as well have called it Quicksand Park today because we looked like we were slow motion zombies playing under the ground.
  24. We looked like we were at the beach. I lost count of how many handballs that failed to clear an opposition player 2 metres away. It looked like a classic fatigue game, the kind of slow motion car wreck where players are fighting for the ball in quicksand. Binman do you think there is still as high a degree of loading in our training regime around this time of the year? Also is the main culprit of this sloppy and lethargic display the weather, training loads or attitude? Obviously all probably play a part but when you see us come out in the first being second to every ball, the constant skill errors throughout the game and then turn in a pressure rating of 130 in the last quarter when the game is on the line (worst in the Goodwin era) then the alarm bells do go off.
  25. Absolutely pathetic from us today. There's no way around it. We looked like we were at the beach from the get-go. Thinking it would just happen. No-one wanted to work. The only concession I'll give today is for the weather, it looked pretty hot not my god have you ever seen so many handballs, not kicks HANDBALLS intercepted by an opposition player 2 metres away? Don't get me wrong there were plenty of kicks smothered too, this would have been one of the toughest games for a cameraman to shoot because you're expecting so many territory winning possessions that don't end up going anywhere. We brought some more intensity after the first but still looked casual, still made dumb skill errors and then came the misses. Holy hell the only thing worse than getting wiped by a million points is creating enough chances to get yourself back in it and possibly even win and fail to get anywhere near the league average. We kicked 1.12 in that second half after Petty worked his butt off to get that free. At this rate our next goal will be next year. And the thing that absolutely [censored] me to high heaven is that we were playing one of the most bang average teams around, it is harsh but I will prove it. Don't get me wrong after we gifted them their momentum in the first the Saints did play some pretty good footy but they were at times just as bad as us. They had a truckload of possessions, we had a pressure rating of 130 and we WERE STILL IN THE FRICKING GAME. Sorry but if we played any other team today it would habe been 2024 Alice 9 times out of 10. I'd even say if Wanganeen-Milera stayed on ground for the whole game we would have lost by 8 goals plus. So now the season is dead again. It was bound to happen at some point. If you want to go and trudge out 5 losses to start the season then you have to accept the fact that is no margin for error at all on games like this. Put one over the hottest team in football next week and there might be a pulse but there is no parallel universe where we beat Collingwood next week, one at all. The poor guys will still be feeling the heat of Alice no doubt. Anyway I'm really sick this weekend so apologies for the delirium. Thanks for the pick me up Melb.
