  1. I don't frequent anywhere near as many metal gigs as I used to but a friend bought me a ticket to Testament at the Northcote Theatre for my birthday last year and they are as good as ever if not better. Definitely keeping the bay area thrash spirit alive. Electric Wizard are a real mainstay of doom/stoner metal. Always been there and will continue to be there after the end of time. Speaking of which, has anyone mentioned Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats yet? I'm sure Gorg is familiar but check them out if you like this stuff. I like this lineup, I don't like festivals that are jam packed and have too many bands playing at the same or similar times. Makes it feel like an airport.
  2. If we're talking about him being knocked back then Macca is 100% correct and I've heard it from Robbie himself. When he first got to the club to try out for the 4ths they flat out told him "You're skinny, you wear glasses, you've got no hope". Didn't tear the house down on day 1.
  3. I'm not going to be getting the 12 month Kayo this year, enough is enough. They just offered me a $1 for this month deal which I took and if they offer other deals throughout the year I'll take them but this is just extortion and they can suck it.
  4. It's been good but I do find some quirks with the mobile app sometimes. I can't remember what they are exactly at this point of the year but I'll come back.

On the flip side it could get a lot more new fans into the Rams. It's gonna be great, this sport in this city! We've come a long way from being the only kids in school with Madden 94 on Sega Megadrive 😊

Dukes up @Gorgoroth The bitterest rivalry in the NFC West is coming down under!
  7. Think there will be multiple Vic clubs after him and Hawthorn would make a lot of sense.

OKC is more than acceptable. Just never 'Thunder'. The Forty-whiners has always been a good one and true in some cases. Seattle fans use to use it a lot and 'She-hawks' was always a fun response before.. you know. Yeah I would probably say Denver more, possibly Kansas City too. NFL is definitely a nickname sport.
  9. New coach, plenty of new faces, yet the guy is still labouring the pain of being dropped last year? In an awful year from the team as a whole. When I read the title I thought 'pain' was relating to his frustrations with injury. I'm glad it's spurred him on to a good pre season, it's a big year coming up for Lever because another year like the last few will see him gone.
  10. It's something to talk about at least. Props to Max Laughton for mentioning Pythagoras 42 times in the article.

I tend to write Packers more than Green Bay as well so that makes it more of a rookie error for me. Let's open this up to the callers, what teams do you refer to the city more than the nickname or vice versa? Personally in the NBA, I never call the Oklahoma City Thunder 'The Thunder'. You have to say the whole name.

Too late, editing time expired. I was checking over it for a good couple of minutes after posting, never occurred to me to think of two pretty regular english alphabet letters bext to each other. Maybe the mods can edit to Green Bay.

Has anyone figured out why this happened? I don't know which hire of Mccarthy was worse, Dallas or Pittsburgh.. The relationship between Aaron and Mike is weird dating right back to draft day in 2005 when a certain 49ers OC was part of the brains trust that passed on him in favour for Alex Smith. He then became GB HC and had the success but didn't end well. The next stop on the line is this little reunion. Do you see it being a fairytale finish? Answers on a postcard..

I think our D could benefit from a little change up. Never have enough healthy DTs as it is. Would be nice to see another dashing OLB in the mix. Yeah possibly so, I didn't realise he was only 38. A year or 2 more as an OC would have helped. I'm also not sure he was the Card's first choice but after Kubiak took the Raiders job they had to spread the net a little. Agree on Murray. Always liked the way he throws and can rip a deep one but 5'10 is a detriment when it comes to seeing over the line and making certain throws. Having said that he'd still terrorise us every time he plays us.

Very happy with Morris as the new DC but isn't he more a 3-4 guy? Could mean our Wide-9 days are numbered. LaFleur is now official as new Cardinals Head coach. Deserves the shot, he's a talented offensive guy I think and he's done it with average QBs to work with prior to Stafford. Wonder what this means for Kyler Murray? Does he want him and does Kyler want to be there? Time will tell.
  16. Are they famous scores from history @Demonstone ? Perhaps some of our 2025 scores judging by the inaccuracy in some of them..
  17. Here we go. Let's all make sure we get as triggered as possible.
  18. It's annoying because the more this drags on the more key people involved will move on, adding more complication. By the end of this there will be a past alumni book with everyone involved past and present spanning decades.

WR is always the hardest, not only are there so many but opinions on what makes a great one vary wildly. In the 100+ years of the league there have been 31 WRs inducted. Absolute studs like Cris Carter, Andrew Reed had to wait years to get in and I'm sure with it being a passing league for so long we'll see more greats from yesteryear get overlooked repeatedly. I do think for the record Tory Holt should be in. In any other era he's easily an Owens/Bruce/Harrison. I also think Henry Ellard should be in.

The HOF is losing a bit of relevance lately. Change all the voters I say.

Mate. Bill Belichick not a first ballot HOFer? What's next, A's on Bart's report card? I reckon Bill Polian still has influence over the voters and probably filled their heads with spygate/deflategate babblings. That's my conspiracy theory for the day anyway..
  22. I feel like someone shared a youtube clip of this game within the last year. Or maybe 1990. It reminded me of DB's fluid set shot stance and how nobody kicks like that now.
  23. Damn the auto-correct got me a beauty. As a person who likes to spell correctly, the worst thing one can have happen on here is to be corrected by Demonstone ☚ī¸ I will put my hand up and own this but I'll be ready to laugh at the next victim!
  24. 5 years this year. We'll never see lightening in a bottle like that again. Not for negative reasons, but because it was that special.
  25. Steele is easily our best tackler now. He actually lays them.
