Melbourne Rebels are no more
I do like Rugby Union and back in the day was into the Super Rugby but can't say I ever went to a Rebels game. This town just isn't big enough.

McVee midfield
While I think he needs to stay back for now, I don't think it's out of the question seeing him push into the middle in future. Would be nice to see that delivery coming into the 50.

Key Forward Wanted.
Deano would be proud/not proud that this thread cracked the 10 year mark. The Bulldogs and their search for a key back, the Cats and their search for a ruckman, some clubs just struggle to address certain areas. We don't need a worldbeater, just a contributor.

Best Key Defender in the AFL
The coolest part is how everyone on here suddenly loves Josh Jenkins now! Some of you really just lap it up 🤪

Josh Battle
He's still in the league?

Welcome to Demonland: Shane McAdam
Happy to give him a few games but I don't know why people are talking about him like an 18 y.o we just drafted and needing time to develop. At 28 he's not getting bigger or faster, at 50 games he would have a rough understanding of the pace of the game. Need to see some improvement reasonably sharpish.

Ticketing: King's Birthday
Not sure about this. Can't really be bothered with ticketbank or whatever it's called.

Surfing
Realised I made a big error in the above post as well. I meant Point Leo and not Point Cook, this is NOT a mistake I would usually make and was probably sleep deprived! Anyway, got down to Gunnamatta on Saturday morning and it was a treat. Clean waves and really consistent with that SW swell and East-North easterly off shore wind. It was almost too consistent and it made it hard to paddle out as you'd keep getting bashed with solid 1 to 2 foot waves (lots of duck diving). Got a lot of reps in though which was great compared to a Flinders and Shoreham a month ago when I probably caught 5 waves for the whole weekend. Would love to chat with some other surfers, no matter what level.

Stats Files - 2024
8.10.58 from turnover with 56 points coming from turnover at wing, centre or defensive 50. Obviously could have been a lot more too. It's not always pretty at the moment but it is a sign that the new style is bearing fruit. 70% of the scoring in this game was from turnover and most games are like this currently. Binman says it every week, it's the name of the game right now. The inaccuracy also wasn't quite as bad as it seemed either. Most gettable set shots were nailed and at least 6 misses on pretty tight angles or beyond 50. Would have liked a few more goals obviously but no-where near the worst accuracy performance this year.

NFL
I'll be there too if tickets aren't impossible to get. Been way too long since this sport graced our shores.

Something weird is happening in that post quote because I didn't say that. Could be an interweb glitch. And further to that I'm more along the lines of your thinking. I'm getting tired of hearing that Petty's leads are being unrewarded, welcome to the life of being a key forward, sometimes you make 7 or 8 leads a game that don't amount to anything. It might have washed for one game but we've been hearing this about his game for weeks now. The guy is hardly a decoy forward, he was running hot late last year and for people to constantly call out out our midfield for ignoring his leads isn't right.
