  1. Agreed. Also, just wondering how many on here are taking into account the conditions, under which the players were required to play? Slippery ball and steamy. Under those conditions I thought the coaching staff managed the players very well. Sure, perhaps we did not finish off the way supporters would have wanted, but with an eye on the following week, I think we did extremely well
  2. Mate, love your work, but are you entering in to pure hypothesis or do you have some real mail?
  3. He did. He also said he would provide more detail when he did his regular report the following week. Still waiting for that 'detail'
  4. Well said. Looking forward to your 100th Jack. I think Roos and Goodwin have "released" him from playing in a backline which used to leak like a sieve. He still has plenty to offer.

  7. Ohhh How I agree with that. Some on here are upset we have to play again in the NT. How this game will affect our performance next week. Maybe, just maybe there might be a bit of management of the players right now????
  8. Freo want JH??? Bring it home Dees. Show Jesse what we have now and in the next 5 years.
  9. Besides the hypothesising about whether the pull of home will sway him to leave, what concerns me more at the moment is his form. Maybe its my imagination and I know he cops a great deal of close checking from the opposition, but to me, he just does not seem to be switched on. I hope it is only my imagination FFS, I'm terribly sorry for presenting a perspective - however misguided it may have been.
  10. OK, OK, I am terribly sorry for asking the question. Please, please forgive me.

  12. This may have been covered somewhere else in this topic, but doesn't trading away our first round picks at last year's trade table devalue our currency and therefore our ability to get such deals done? Interested in others thoughts/observations. Given the family connections to the MFC, I think we would be Dion's preferred option, but I am just unsure how we could get the deal done.
  13. VFA - second division, as it was then, but that's all you get.
  14. I dropped my thermos and broke it, when I tripped over my tartan knee rug
  15. A boy cries out for his mumma, before he does for his home.
  16. In a very ordinary footy team at the time.
  17. SWYL. maybe the AFL could get involved with providing support to those who get their heads done in while posting on online footy forums.
  18. Does your mate at the cattery have any"industry" info on what our great man may do?
  19. Again, the main point is missed. I said, his influence in the ruck was diminished when they changed the centre bounce rule, together with chronic shin injuries. No doubt he had heaps of talent, but I am just saying in the context of the debate as to whether he was an A+ grade player or not, he did not move on. When the game changed on him - which clearly was beyond his control - my point was, it would have been good to see him evolve into a goal kicking forward/follower, similar to that of Peter Moore. In anybody's language, 113 goals over 13 seasons would suggest otherwise I would have thought. That said, I mostly loved the way he went about it.
  20. DC, you should know form is all about the numbers. Hang on and I'll get my tarot cards out and I'll then get back to you with what will happen with Jack next.
  21. Winning games and being right in the mix for finals contention will always do wonders for membership numbers. Especially when you do it 2 years in a row.
  22. I doubt he would be chaired off - although I wouldn't mind if he was- but while you may be embarrassed if it did happen, I think many would be rapt.
  23. Agreed. As for dark years, at times they were pitch black.
