  1. Cracked a beer. Cheers Hawks and cheers to Nik Nat for being the match winner! How ironic!
  2. Hawthorns season is hanging by a thread for the finals.
  3. Unbelievable weather conditions at Subiaco and west coast are actually doing okay. Poor hawks. eagles 8 points up naitanui on fire. Changes - plenty for next week against eagles i will get back to you cb. Eagles now 14 points up last quarter!
  4. and well balanced.
  5. Yay! A goal!
  6. Just about a Monty.
  7. You have no clue.
  8. Hasn't taken you long to get the knives out....
  9. Chocco??? You've got to be kidding?
  10. Terrible. Casey did better today. They're not even switched on. It's as if losing has taken it's toll on the team. The youth also seem to be feeling the pinch. We also lack leadership on the field. These three factors against a side in form spells recipe for disaster.
  11. gee strauss looked good and kicked a great goal on the run from 50m
  12. Not really harsh at all. Did anyone see Davey run down the Carlton player in the last? Somehow seemed to surprise Matthews at Daveys closing speed! I think that hit on Bruns has affected his judgement in old age.
  13. Well done! Good stuff fork.
  14. Ha ha. What is significant is that the Bombers came out in the 3rd quarter and smashed the blues like they did against the dees last week. Game over.
  15. Good question. How do we benefit...Umm, expansion on TV rights dollars, perhaps to over $1 Billion. As Axis of Bob said, Isn't that more money to clubs then? By the way the AFL Commission has given the go ahead for expansion into West Sydney. Vlad as CEO, is probably the puppet. I agree with Axis of Bob here: - Whilst I am cautious about the West Sydney move, the AFL will move on decisions on what is best for the game which is the current clubs and the expansion of the AFL competition. Establishing a presence in West Sydney would be a committment to the continued growth of the game against the threat of foreign codes. Tassie won't be neglected, they'll just have to wait their turn.
  16. Last time, Hurricane Hamish was present when the Dees last beat the Lions in Qld, may this time it be Hurricane Jurrah?
  17. Correct. Tues, 30th June.
  18. Yes, he is pretty tough the little fella, just ask the likes of Nathan Brown & James Hird, hehe.
  19. Fair point.
  20. Agree. Same with my point earlier regarding West Coast and Worsfold. They determined their decision too, despite what 'little' speculation there was in the media.
  21. I'm now thinking maybe I shouldn't be so cryptic, maybe I should just get straight to the point so posters can understand: - So here it is (a-dah!) I DON'T WANT US TO WIN AGAINST WEST COAST. Ok?
  22. Thought this might get some feedback. My post was partly focussed on the West Coast game..hint hint.
  23. Our club has stated that we will go for the best 2 players in the draft. That we need stars. They've hinted at a midfielder and a KPF as the items on the shopping list. Make no mistake about it, I want the best 2 available picks. I don't think a Scully and/or Blease on top of our current midfield will cut it against the 'premier' midfields of the competition. So yes, we do need a replenishment of sorts amongst the midfield. However, this is what the club will decide what is best and quite frankly we can talk and post all we want to, it won't make one iota of difference to the decision come October/November. You can be assured that what will take place between here and the end of season - and most likely has already begun (ie midseason review), is that the club will analyse and scrutinise our midfield and weigh up with the recruiting reports coming in - the balance of whether they target a star KPF if available (dependant upon what picks..) or replenish the midfield with two picks. Right now it's probably 50/50 and what happens at the bottom of the table - is fair to say - is what might influence such a decision. In my opinion I can see both alternatives. If anything the debut of Jurrah may have swung my thinking to the two elite mids just a little.
  24. I agree. Travelling with the side most likely. Isn't it great! Agree with both Jaded and Nasher....no tricks.
  25. That is good. I would like to see the likes of Newton, Bell, Wheatley, Dunn, Bartram & Valenti all push their claims for senior selection against West Coast when they take on Willi this weekend against Casey... We need the boys to compete for senior spots.
