The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan
Leaving his contract talks until the end of the year could prove costly IMO. Of course in time, things can change and if we're say - 7 and 4 - at half way for example (only an example!), I'd be doing my best to re-sign an extension/new contract for Hogan before the end of season. ie. After the QB game. Because with Freo - whilst they can still turn things around - they would be right now behind the scenes planning and moving heaven and earth to nail something positive down, based on their direction. Hogan would be a huge coup - as big as them signing Ross Lyon whilst he was at St.Kilda. More than likely, they've already spoken to him. As they've done with McCarthy and Hooker. All our club can do is keep winning, keep the momentum up and encourage the players to stick together (sign for less if need be). Sign new sponsors, break records, voodoo's, and climb the ladder. And prove that the new environment is worth sticking around for greater things to come. Lyon doesn't want to commit to the word re-build, which is why he is highlighting the word "transition" - because the word "re-build" causes a collective sigh and a re-think - even those on the Eastern Sea Board that are always watching.

Thank You Paul Roos and Peter Jackson
I'd like to think it's more than just a couple of years. Yes, they've done some hard yards, but IMO the hard work is only just starting. And it is indeed an exciting time to be a Melbourne supporter. Do not rest, keep ticking boxes, keep recruiting, keep the development resources high, because the doors will now start to open as a destination club.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Fixed. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. Tigers are the main focus. They will need to play at their best to beat Richmond. Like they'll need to play their best each and every week.

Neville Jetta
BUMP. This bloke has 77 games under his belt, is 26 and is becoming more reliable each outing. Loving his output each week, has a professional approach to his preparation and Roos I think has given him the confidence and belief. His tackling and accountability is a real plus for this team - so too his experience! Proves pivotal on tough matchups against fleet footed opposition and isn't scared to match it with taller, larger opponents.

Saw this game last week. Hammers were huge. They're in fine form. The draw against Leicester didn't suprise me one bit. They've only lost 6 and they'll be kicking themselves if they miss top 4 (which is almost certainty now). 13 draws. No.9 in fine form, good things happen when he's involved.

Please let it be Freo.

You'd think the AFL would have enough finances to ensure all grounds hosting AFL matches during the season would have ALL available angled cameras set up for umpire review. The issue in the first quarter: - Goldstein took the ball over the line before bringing it back Goldstein touched goal post with ball in hand. Umpire Review had very limited angle viewings - it may have only been 1-2 angles.

What's done is done. I entirely agree with all of Redleg's examples. And even if you reverse 25% of these points old dee, I'm almost certain the result would be different. That said, the team made some poor choices during the game and poor execution which also contributed. Just one massive frustration.

Of course their midfield will go along way to winning this weeks game. They are the bookies favourites. However, whilst our midfield need to be up and about, I think our defenders and our forward line will have a big say. I'm expecting a high scoring game. And without Cameron I feel the balance of power (injuries and poor performances permitting) will hold our way. If you're betting the $2.20 looks very attractive.
