WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
More like: - M: "I want out basically, frankly it's an endless joke, you haven't looked after our best interests, it's a revolving door here as far as coaches go, I don't want to be a part of this club, I need a fresh start, my footy and health has suffered, my family... - I love footy and like some others, I'm not enjoying it here" E: "Ok, well here's a 2 year contract that we think is fair and reasonable, we think 2016 will be exciting and we look to improve and get to finals, we hope that you'll stay and remain a one club player, but you're welcome to look elsewhere at offers, if that's the way you feel. As you are entitled to. But we 'd like you to sign with us. We think we have Woosha as coach...what do you think?" M: "The chemist {sigh}....lol?"

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Personally I think someone like Melksham would provide our group with a seasoned mid and will add to our midfield depth. They're intent on improving the list and sometimes improvements are incremental. He's ok both sides, he's no A-grader. But he's a matured mid, doesn't shirk, loves the game and if the deal is reasonable, back them in. Goodwin has coached him, and from my POV he's a good judge of character. Certainly ready to go mid, rather than a 18yo 3rd rd pick. Surprised by many outlandish statements. If we were to net a quality mid plus Melksham in a months time, D'Landers would surely be beside themselves.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
For Dangerfield's sake, I hope he has a real hard think about his Premiership aspirations. I look at the Geelong side now, with the retirements and pending retirements in the next 12 months, and I can't help think that EOS dress ups on Mad Mondays would be the only thing he have look forward to over the next few seasons. They've been a great team and club for the past 10 years or so, and they may not exactly bottom out like basketcase's of the past because of Geelongs ability to recruit and make changes each year to fill holes and develop kids through to a good standard. If it's a premiership he's after he's probably better off where he is at present. Purely from a neutral perspective. Or take a punt alongside the Hulk at the Dees..

Anyone for cricket?
Yeah, where is Rhino these days? Looking forward to the long cold nights, I hope Harris' immediate retirement won't influence the balance of the team. But we will miss him.
