VICs need 157 more runs with 9 wickets in hand to win the Shield!

Of course their midfield will go along way to winning this weeks game. They are the bookies favourites. However, whilst our midfield need to be up and about, I think our defenders and our forward line will have a big say. I'm expecting a high scoring game. And without Cameron I feel the balance of power (injuries and poor performances permitting) will hold our way. If you're betting the $2.20 looks very attractive.

Good luck to him. Pity he missed out on my 1023 off 319 balls posted several years ago on the beach. Cracker of a day & innings that one! Big night too from what I can recall....

Anyone for cricket?
Have we got play in Sydney yet? Fancy asking CA for a second Test (day/Night Test) in Sydney when they can't even get their weather right. The 'Pink Test' isn't enough for them. I'm a supporter of the McGrath Foundation. But I reckon they go overboard with the ever increasing pink each year which surely comes at significant cost. First it was wear pink day 3, then pink stumps, pink caps, commentators in pink (thankfully the late Richie didn't have to put up much with it in his beige), pink ball, soon it will be pink bats and pink outfield. And televised in HD Pink! Overboard if you ask me. Too late to go back now for fear of PC backlash. Anyway the Sydney Test now being the last Test of Summer is quickly becoming irrelevant. Despite it's historical significance. PS. The Pink Test really does suit Sydney though...

Jeepers. And here I was saving water bottles and looking at potential creative (scribble) artwork in the pursuit of ink poisoning. I guess my perforated ear drums can remain perforated for another year, without any vain hope of recovery.

Will the Aussies put Khawaja back in and drop Marsh? Or will Burns be stiff? As good as Marsh was in the first Test against ordinary bowling, Khawaja who played brilliantly against NZ, deserves to come back IMO after injury.

Would love to see Leicester on top at Christmas, in fact as much as I'd like to see Utd win the EPL - I don't think they will - I hope Leicester win it. Maybe it's the MFC/Underdog in me...

Anyone for cricket?
^ I said that with a bit of tongue-in-cheek, but seriously thought there may have been a chance the Aussies would dismantle the WI twice in no time. The Taswegians were lucky to catch a few hours on Saturday. Dismal Test Cricket. No matter who wins the toss on Boxing Day - send the Aussies into bat so it guarantees some cricket on Day 3! Imagine if Pattinson had gone with his original technique in the first innings and not the second in Hobart! .....

583/4 dec. Voges 269no....not bad. There is a glimmer of hope we'll reach day 3 and see cricket this weekend...the Tasmanians looking forward to the weekend may get to see some of the Test. They'll be praying the WI see out today. Currently 2/58 and looking shaky..
