go to afl site > click on game > click fulltime stats > click advanced stats you can then see time on ground (TG%). oliver only had 57% and full game time was much less than home-away games, so a great effort -

How long will it take to recover? A mild MCL injury or grade one sprain should take 3 to 6 weeks to make a full recover. A more severe grade 2 or grade 3 injury may take 8 to 12 weeks. -
that's what worries me

correct, so the only argument is how we regulate and how much legal gambling we allow imo at the moment we allow too much freedom. and the afl has got too cosy with gambling which will eventually over-compromise them (if not already)

haha, they never will while run by gangsters

not so. only true if betting org co-operates with regulator, which is not the case with the current large overseas online betting sites

bd, i don't think us prohibition is a good comparison though lots of people always drag it out when some sort of prohibition is raised. there are plenty of examples of countries where alcohol prohibition has actually been somewhat successful. there were also many special reasons why it was a disaster in the us, plus the us prohibition was a total prohibition, whereas no-one here i think is talking about a total gambling prohibition.

i agree that some (many) here like to argue that the problems with the mfc are related to problems with the afl and that is a legitimate pov, but it should be a different thread, there is a very good argument that the state of the afl regardless of the mfc is worthy of closer scrutiny and debate. and that is what i thought this thread is about. by mixing the two issues it ends up not doing either discussion justice and heads off into diametric directions
-
i thought this thread was the "state of the afl" not the "state of the mfc" which is quite a different thing start another thread if posters want to talk about that but combining the two topics will achieve nothing but confusion
