that's a very good point jnr. the padding should have a line painted vertically on it or alternatively, maybe the thickness of the padding/post does count? i'd like to know whether it is a thin line all around (as on the turf) or the thickness of the post at the height of the ball
-
tend to agree........but when said player wants to go back on it should then count as an interchange so in petrie's case with no interchanges left he can't go back on (as was the case)

My 3 word player analysis v North Melbourne
daisycutter replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
agree with tyson.....and he only had 69% game time -
yeah +1 thanks to all those posters who took the time to write reports during and after game.....much appreciated.

yes, but the blood rule is not an "injury". the player is forced off by the umpire so technically it's not a voluntary interchange i don't have a problem with that one, nor the player touching the post.

afaik it's always the position of the ball. think about boundaries, goal line marks etc there was a rule i think of somebody deliberately rocking the goal post to attempt to alter a score, but that would be different to this case

will be interesting when the sheila's game gets going with the holding the man rule presumably it will never be paid?

bun-high tackles, bitters. hope earl didn't play in the skin tight jeans rolled half way up the calves, not good for groin strains.

funny that he has a whack at a club most commentators regard as "insignificant" when so many "significant" clubs are having a disastrous start to the year like freo, richmond, collingwood and carlton. would have thought there were more relevant articles to write about those clubs if he had the guts, but it is just so much easier to whack melbourne. of course, what he writes is pretty accurate but absolutely nothing new to the reading public, so what interest does he hope to garner with a fluff piece?
