no mickey, jnr. i just can't see it. i can't see a period of time between 2 games of nearly a month. maybe you were listening to brian taylor?

choke, iva has already said the insurers themselves wouldn't be party to overpaying, and i agree that is likely. my reply to that is we have no guarantee that the total accepted compensation payment will be paid by the insurers alone. extra could be paid by either essendon or wealthy benefactors. This could be part of the legal settlement whereby the insurers may argue they are only required to partially pay because of essendon's conduct and the terms of the insurance. This happens a lot in civil cases where payouts are met by multiple parties. Alternatively the players could receive separate payments via essendon benefactors on condition they accept the insurers offer. All of this amounting to a higher "compensation" but a lower contract value. I'm not suggesting any of this will happen, just pointing out there is scope for it and despite afl oversight i'm not sure they would necessarily pick it up or be able to do much about it. anyway the key point i'd make is that the insurers themselves would only be settling for the least amount they can without wishing to "assist" essendon

you've lost me jnr 4 games in august, 2 games in september

where does this 1 game in a month come from? they had 2 weeks not playing. that's 2 games in a month

and let's not forget that asada have very limited powers of investigation and cannot subpoena anyone to give evidence like swimming with a bag of cement tied to your waist
-
to have any statistical meaning you'd need a lot more data than than one particular season else it is all pure speculation and as danny would say "not worth the paper it is written on"

correct chris and just to complete the loop tb4 IS approved for human use and yes does have valuable therapeutic uses in medicine, just as many other performance enhancing drugs such as steroids and growth hormones do. if athletes need to use wada restricted drugs for genuine medical reasons then they can apply to wada for an exemption with strict conditions and generally (but not always) including a period of non-sporting participation
-
just to clarify for others. It comes under class S2 and a subsection of S2 as described by chris above It does not come under class S0 which is a complete catch-all category for drugs not generally released for human consumption (which some posters have alluded to)

well naturally, clint, will was playing for them in the ruck

agree it was tough watching. I suppose if you are 2 years outof the game and off your legs, then have a limited pre-season you are bound to be at your worst at the end of a long season on a fast track like etihad in good conditions. I know that sounds like an excuse but it is a fact. Still I have doubts he will get back to afl level for today's game style.

followed by another 5 now making 8!
-
why did you?

think he just enjoys trolling and playing devil's advocate
-
It was banned by wada because it is a known performance enhancing peptide. no mystery here saty. stop obfuscating and playing doctor google.

you'd like uncle bitters then, moonie

love those twofers. we had a twofer (by yours truly) many moons ago in a granny against oakleigh districts and ended up winning by less than a goal. sweeet!

Other clubs playing "Hell's Bells" pre-bounce...annoying or not?

couldn't we just get something nice and typically melbourne that nobody would dare to pinch......like 'something good' from the 'sound of music' -
