  1. yes. far better to provide both figures btw, i think the afl stated averages are somewhat manipulated. the figures don't add if you take the average and multiply it by the total list or the list minus rookies. i suspect it excludes rookies (all types) and new drafted players on the standard 2 year afl contract. just more afl manipulation of stats without explaining qualifications.
  2. the worst thing we could do now is to put the cue in the rack need a decent base to kick off 2020
  3. ah yes, knees not waist p.s. scrotum plus attachment excluded
  4. some would argue the mfc suburban territory is the cbd, east melbourne, jolimont, plus maybe toorak, south yarra, kooyong and prahran (or even just the land roughly bordered by the yarra, se freeway, st.kilda rd and dandenong rd) agree it's difficult to define
  5. still thought it a trip. one angle seemed much more clear. remember anything below the waist is illegal (tripping)
  6. i agree but what makes me mad is i understand an umpire can make a split second mistake especially if his viewing angle is not optimal, but what grates is there are three umpires out there and at least one must have seen it was a trip. So why didn't he/they come in and confer with the umpire who made a mistake. It is so rare to see a secondary umpire do this and i don't understand especially in obvious mistakes.
  7. you're being over harsh methinks. there was quite a lot to like despite the usual melbourne errors margin in game only ever got out to 3 kicks and that was for a short time. most of game was only one or two kicks in it. our endeavour, effort and hardness stood out all game.
  8. well bub, we did win 3 qtrs and not all those when they had all their injuries take out some umpire howlers and we win by more
  9. funny that.......i don't see many "sighs of relief".......?
  10. c'mon moonie, it means whatever the afl (and eddie) want it to mean at any particular time
  11. 'cos it was just one leg of a multi bet
  12. eeerrrh.......what integrity, rjay?........ lost that long time ago
  13. always? you must have been a gun ?
  14. the job's yours. when can you start? ?
  15. there again......
  16. are you talking about the players?
  17. free kicks running freeo 31 power 15....... but no problem says afl may as well give the visiting team in perth an extra player to even it up
  18. i've been wondering if something else other than foot issues is behind tmac's terrible form could there be some offield issues at play here? and could it be the same with omac who has also gone backwards and seems disengaged? just wondering.....don't know anything
  19. you ever think of applying for a professorship at monash uni, dv8?
  20. I don't think he has really been dominant in vfl either. Sure, a few nice cameos here and there and plenty of effort, but he never seems to get many possessions. he needs to find the ball more often and get some 20+ possession games (or kick a bag). agree, can't see him being retained
  21. the other trick is to focus on something high up and 20m past the goals. his field long kicking is reasonably good.
  22. do people really think changing the captain will solve our problems? when did it last workat mfc and turn around a struggling team more a recipe to ruin a player
  23. we are such a dumb football club p.s. where can we buy 6 forwards
  24. as long as total silence included the venue's loudspeakers too
