afl clubs generally have special exemption conditions with states, and as our numbers are still low those exemptions should stay, if things get worse in vic, all bets off

we can do it any way we want.....and the press certainly will if it creates a story so pick your own poison - wins losses %wins or whatever, i really don't care that much

given the season length has changed over the decades, a better measure would be least number of losses, or just a % figure of games won (e.g.. 16 out of 18 equates to 19.5 out of 22, 17 out of 18 equates to 20.8 out of 22)
