  1. i don't understand this once the player moves off the line it is play-on. umpire must first call it though. a good umpire should use a bit of common sense here if he is a bit late calling play-on
  2. why should bt get a pension? he should pay back all his wages for the pain and suffering he has wrought

pity first name wasn't beginning with an 'M'.........then it would have been MCG
  5. i think the man on the mark should be able to move one step left or right, but not forward, before being penalised, . to give a 50m for a player on the mark who loses his balance is too harsh
  6. who's campbell brown? whole story sounds like a load of kabaddi
  7. steven may also was a KPF in his pre afl days. Also played fwd in his first few years at suns.
  8. dead right jcb. he kicked on the outside of his right foot. dead centre too.
  9. i like the way you think, wcw 😏
  10. well if you go and get a chance for a photo with the cup..... then just before camera clicks, whip off mask, camera clicks, put mask back on i'm sure no-one will arrest or shoot you for a 3 second de-masking

    did maxy's arms shrink?
  12. if we were to lose (god forbid) a round 1 rematch with the dogs i predict there would be a massive pandemic of mfcss on demonland
  13. well, going on round 1 this year we were lucky we didn't come up against a good side first game of season is always hard to find instant form
  14. i did see another angle on video, but can't remember where, but on that video it did look like a half volley was a possibility. another possibility is that it was touched off salem's boot but i've seen no discussion of that possibility i had the same thought processes you had.........wonderful goal
  15. thanks, my grandson saw the same video taken by a spectator directly behind the goals and he agrees with you i'm in the inconclusive camp, but i have no problem with the goal umpires decision probably should have been a review but with the video available to the reviewers would probably have resulted in "umpire's decision" anyway

i believe this was looked at. there was quite some discussion of redeveloping this area from olympic boulevard to the mcg. It involved building over the railway lines completely and rebuilding richmond station etc. There was talk about the mfc then being part of this development in the end i think it just got so grandiose and expensive it was put on the back burner and shelved
  19. haha........sam 'give me a click' mcclure
  20. imagine travelling from coldstream to kardinia park and back every day

nice work, 13th, i like it a lot. just for fun send a copy to pert/roffey soccer/rugby crowd wouldn't like extra distance from aami to training fields. allowing them to share indoor hall might help. obviously a more extensive and expensive undertaking to relocate all 3 grounds
  22. yeah that was good video, but it's hard to tell exactly when it passed the goal line as max kicked it well above the goal post. i'd say it's inconclusive as it's possible it was directly above the goal post at the time it passed the goal line, which would make it a poster. so to me it was either a virtual poster or a goal depending on exact time it passed the goal line which i couldn't be 100% certain of.....if that makes sense
  23. jeelong's chance for a flag passed in 2020 when 16 minute quarters and 17 game seasons were played and they failed at the last post. it was only going to get much harder after that, they've left their rebuild too long now and will pay for it for some time hawthorn, geelong, collingwood and probably richmond in the same leaky boat loving it......schadenfreude
  24. does the afl allow players to wear gum boots? asking for a friend
  25. you don't get it mazer the written rules are irrelevant.......it's all about the interpretation it's the only way to guarantee controversy, more media coverage, more satisfied stakeholders and naturally more dosh for the afl treasury
