  1. LOL. Ever heard of or read the Truth?
  2. Silence. Still waiting for Dr? to release his manifesto on saving the club through supporter buy-in bet it will be a good read meanwhile i'll continue to accept my share of the blame by being so apathetically mediocre
  3. well if you have such a personal issue then take it up with the club directly your voice on a footy forum just gets lost in all the static can't blame cs for not hearing you properly if you don't
  4. No! Shock, Horror! How could you make such a hurtful, racist remark like that? Go and wash your filthy mouth out immediately.
  5. by stakeholders/sponsors "(even if it may have been a minority)" i presume we are referring to demonlanders in this context FFS we demonlanders would still find something wrong if he landed the biggest FOJ sponsorship in the history of the AFL
  6. We all want a new FOJ sponsor (no surprises here) This includes CS and the MFC obviously, whom I am sure a working hard at it Currently the BOJ$ exceeds last years FOJ$ + BOJ$ so we are not going backwards The real problem (ironically) is that CS was "too successful" with the BOJ deal Any normal person would expect the the FOJ$ to be > BOJ$ so this greatly limits the available pool of prospective sponsors If you settle for less than BOJ$ then this potentially causes problems with BOJ sponsor and other issues Its a difficult conundrum caused more by success than any failure We all may not like it but we need to give it a little more time CS did hint there was a contingency plan Lets let the club get on with managing this without all the misinformed criticism on this thread
  7. no no thommo, don't move the goalposts i very specifically told you to get over the repetition of the "smart arse" (so called) comments complaint of yours i never mentioned FOJS...............but nice try
  8. actually in this case i think the players had only a very minor part in the choice of captain and i agree with this, especially in light of the non-performance of the leadership group in recent years quite apart from this i have always believed that the decision should largely be a coach/fd one
  9. of course he has hardtack, but i'm getting sick of his endless repetition, hence my post. Thommo needs to grow a thicker skin
  10. leucopogon you can't have it both ways watch the game and then comment on it or don't watch the game and don't comment on it
  11. Jesus Thomo, get over it! You are making a mountain over a mole hill on one CS comment (that was probably warranted anyway) One can only come to the conclusion that you have an agenda with CS. If so at least confine yourself to real issues and avoid the pettifogging and exaggeration
  12. come come xiss, "racism of the highest order"? What rock have you been hiding under? want me to elaborate on "racism of the highest order"? I don't think you would have the stomach for it you should be more considered before making inflammatory statements when you don't even have the facts or know if there is any truth in it
  13. who cares who the four were. only magner could be pleased with his performance
  14. have to agree about dumb football has been my biggest gripe for the last 10 years.....drives me crazy
  15. no maybe not worst 16 but a disappointing show nevertheless
  16. there was a fair amount of sarcasm in my comments I wasn't praising the reverend as much as saying that give me a team of 'soft front runners' who win a few games rather a team of 'soft non runners' I think too that nd cops a bit too much blame given the lack of support, money and atrocious training conditions he had to put up with (over) looking after his players was probably necessary to keep them together at the club in such rough times anyway he and northey were the most successful coaches at the club since norm smith and deserve at least better than some give
  17. things aren't too bad we are equal on points with Geelong, Collingwood, St.Kilda and Western Bulldogs wasn't that the top 4 recently? (please turn on your sarcasm meters)
  18. DrG every supporter for every club wants a premiership cup, so what? we have been talking up premiership windows ad nauseum the last few seasons whilst we languish near the bottom I'm sick of premiership/flag discussions. I want to walk before we run. That means winning a few games and being accountable if we can do that then i might start dreaming again put away the rose tinted glasses, focus on the basics and cut out the crap flag talk or there won't be a MFC in a few years time
  19. funny that....about our midfield coach wasn't he the backline coach last year who turned a good backline into a leaky boat? of all the asst coaches replaced i couldn't understand why choco was kept
  20. yes, we have heard all that before but no details what were the actual issues between DB,FD and CS? why were the players involved or how did they even know of these issues? what about the secret report we have never heard about? did it play a role? and again how were players involved in this and why? I didn't want to know all these details when the great reorganisation occurred assuming it was no longer relevant but now it seems that something is still festering in the player group, else how could you explain their their apparent inability to cope. I could be barking up the wrong tree but i smell a rat
  21. give me the reverend any day over this train-wreck with more backup staff and top training conditions now, how good would ND be we are a loooong way from even producing anything like nd was able to deliver that's reality
  22. Now I would really like to know what was behind 186, because whatever it was it is still festering away There seems to be some unfinished business going on here
  23. did one hitout goto a teammate's advantage? dropping the ball at your feet is ineffective and predictable very average performance
  24. hard to fault that old dee i seem to have hit that same low point usually i find something to enthuse about which keeps me positive to a point but the prospect of being back where we were (or probably worse than) when bailey arrived has brought the bile back into my mouth paris (or anywhere) this winter is looking good
