I cannot tell you how strange it was that this both humoured me and incited me to commit acts of horrendous violence upon you. -

Swans or Eagles. That's enough now, don't want to know who it is. -

Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
jabberwocky replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
That's exactly my point, strip back the intangibles and judge the football. We could have the most loyal playing list in the AFL and get absolutely nowhere. I am not saying that charisma, loyalty, good character etc aren't important but they are only a component of the player. We are going to be desperate for line-breakers through the midfield. -

My money would be on GWS letting a homesick mid go. With Griffen's arrival and a loss of draft picks I can see them wanting to trade back in. No info, just a guess. -

Sounds unlikely, reports that Brisbane are giving up Crisp. -
Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off

Jordie Mckenzie was loyal to us in tough times. Even more so than Trengove when he rejected a spot on the senior list at Adelaide to stay a rookie at Mfc. Would a trade involving Mckenzie evoke the same outrage from those demanding loyalty to Trengove? -

I would guess that it would be by agreement with GWS. They have no need for a late pick and we may have none to give anyways. -
Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
jabberwocky replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
The thing that I continually come back to in all this is the constitution of the list, and in particular the midfield Trengove could ..after spending a season getting fit and touching the footy again become a very good player. Being the type of player he is, how much value is he to the playing list? And in reality after a season out of footy, will we get anything significant out of him before 2016? By that time does his trade value plummet when he is uncontracted? We need to be pragamatic. -
Mitch Clark. I've enjoyed my time here at Demonland, seeya I'm off to The Cattery.

Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off

The more wins you get seems to equate to a more loyal playing list. Not in every case but in most cases. The good players seem to want to pledge their allegiance to the winningest teams. -
I can see Garlett closer to goal and his bloke up the ground a bit, be it at half forward or wing.

Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off

I am no bio-mechanics expert but i have always been very suspicious of the idea that the foot injury was responsible for Trengrove's lack of pace/mobility. You may expect a limp on one side but not a complete drop off of speed. Are there any physios etc on here that could explain this? -

Ridiculous comparison, they are not even remotely similar scenarios. -

I am staggered at the reaction to this by a lot of Demonlanders. Imagine if we strategically traded out a 100 gamer who had actually put a few seasons together. -

In terms of outrageous trade rumours, JJH post is the best constructed and most convincing that I have seen. -
