  1. The 2023 AFL Draft Combine has begun with Sandringham Dragon Tarkyn O'Leary winning the 2km time trial with a run of 5:48 minutes ahead of Darcy Wilson of the Murray Bushrangers (5:52 minutes). Footy Feed: Top prospects gather at Draft Combine
  2. There are a couple of reasons for the differential. One is the fact that there’s a club out there willing to give McKay a fat contract worth close to $800kpa for starters over a long term and second is the place where we finished the season (6th) compared to where North finished (17th) - on this factor alone JJ compo would be pick 28. It’s a fair deal for us IMO.
  3. But is he a mummy’s boy?
  4. It’s a vexed question if Clarrie is fit. Giving him a game against North might not be such a bad idea after so many weeks out. It would be worse if he was thrown in rusty against the Blues.
  5. The Kangas have improved under Ratten even if they didn’t win games. They should have kept him in as coach for the remainder of the season and re-set next year under Clarko. Despite their improved form and the fact that they lost 3 or 4 close ones, the AFL is going to gift them plenty of draft concessions at the end of the year.
  6. Not hard to work out since we know who played for Casey today and we know who is unavailable due to injury.
  7. Trent Rivers is ahead of Jacko on current form.
  8. In the same game last year they gave us a fright and many of their players have matured since then. They have a few big outs but they have depth now so they are no pushover. Demons however, have too much at stake so take it from the horse’s mouth - we win by 20 points.
  9. 6. Clayton Oliver 5. Christian Petracca 4. Brodie Grundy 3. Trent Rivers 2. Tom McDonald 1. Jack Viney
  10. All things considered, Brisbane have lucked out in both of their home games this year. Round 2 - Max goes down in the opening minutes giving them the ruck advantage as well as playing against a disorganized Melbourne lineup for most of the night. Round 4 - No Collingwood rucks at all. Could easily be 0 and 4.
  11. This time a little over a week ago, we had only Taj Woewodin on the injured list (and Kozzie suspended). We now have, in addition to the official list, Joel Smith on the injured list (again!), James Harmes on personal issues and there’s still a cloud over Steven May. Mind boggling how much the list has grown in a week.
  12. I think I can help with your problem. I’m pretty sure I won’t have any problems talking my way into a racecourse.
  13. Neigh … just a touch of sarcasm
  14. Zac Williams. Oh well, erm, I’m guessing it’s season over for the Blues.
  15. Surely not doing a Luke Jackson?
  16. Trent Burgoyne reported as being present in the training thread for today.
  17. Mate of mine said he saw him wandering around Eppworth Hospital a week or two back. No idea if as a patient or visitor.
  18. Nothing shabby about the number JVR currently has (21)
  19. The most enticing thing about all of this is the fact that with ANB, AMW, this bloke and Finn Emile-Brennan possibly coming in, we are coming close to breaking an old club record of the most players with hyphenated names in its history.
  20. KB not QB
  21. Surely must have been told he wasn't going to get a game even if he got fit and the big 2 rucks got injured (which they did eventually) and bowed out gracefully.
  22. Anthony Koutoufides - 278 games. Just saying.
  23. A week and a half of snoozing interrupted by a few Eureka moments. The trade period is highly overrated.
