Went to the Freo/North games (son was playing the HT auskick, he was the dancing boy when they showed them : ) ) The skills by North were shocking, basic, errors, fumbling, made Freo looked good. But Freo did put their foot down and it showed they could be dangerous at least at home this year. What to do with McCarthy as they weren't even going to play him and he had a day out. It was a really hard round to judge some sides and it seems the JLT standard went a week longer for skills and touch wise.

In previous years underdone teams at the start of the could start with extra players in defence to control the game and stop quick scoring. This is no longer the case. But as the fitness builds i see the clubs with more talent moving to the top of the league. (Assuming individual players they perform as expected) This used to happen in the 80s due to the limited preseasons compared to modern football. They played into fitness. They have botched the two groups, Given the system they chose it seems odd it has happened. Basically One pool is dominating the other pool, look at the percentage between the two. So the opposition in the GF will be a weak team by default. Though Freo has been a surprise, stye only just pipped us, reckon if we played them week 2 or 3 we would have beaten them. We always seem to start slow. North I haven't seen but they seem to have joined very strong?

Im waiting on the New Defender , next year they reckon. Though the new jag's do have good reviews, and I think we are a good fit for us. Hopefully multi-year.
