  1. Yep, the that gap of 64 - 87 really hurt. As research has shown our decline was deliberate with the changing of zones to favour other clubs by the VFL (Plus our inability to become professional until much later than there clubs) ..... bastards! :)
  2. I'm talking about the "fit" players on the field, they would have working within the same fitness program since the preseason.
  3. Ya, that will seal it.
  4. Deja vu They don't seem to be fit this year.... same issue as the men, similar program.
  5. Nice to have a good night for the team. Watching the girls, they often sit and wait for the ball and don't attack it like they should.
  6. The issue is clear communication to members. I guess those at the BNF will get some of that, maybe? But that's got to be balanced with the internal processes of the club. Yes we want to now, but at the same time the clubs doesn't want to share everything they are trying to do with the public (leaks aside) . So have click bait muppets that will get a grain of a rumour and publish about it to fill the media cycle. And then it gets out of control. So in reality what do we want from the club in its communication to sort this out.
  7. Gee how did this get resurrected! fir those asking I never heard a peep back after my email. though this year they have open training sessions at Optus, so my kids have photos with their fav players. Though it would be nice if at Optus the supporters could meet in a place at ground level . Presently we lean over the boundary fence which is about 6 foot above the field.
  8. Tigers will have the best draft hand unless we also want a player in return.
  9. I agree the NGA needs a shake-up for the advantage they give some clubs. What as interesting is that the saints have only had 3 FS in their existence! Maybe that is why they aren't happy. Does anyone have stats of FS to the different clubs. As for the Ashcroft's so good, that just luck of the genetics and the effort they have put in in their junior careers. I can accept it and its luck of the draw.
  10. Not about us but the next Ashcroft going to lions for almost nothing. (He also had a go at the academies) med don’t want the afl to screw us over with the sons we have coming. Like the nga decision. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-2024-st-kilda-president-andrew-bassat-takes-shot-at-afl-over-fatherson-and-academy-picks-levi-ashcroft-afl-draft-brisbane-lions-latest-news/news-story/2a2050be15dee2318e7f29d0034f1d3b
  11. A Norm smith in your second year... not too bad.
  12. like Geelong of days past..
  13. that was exciting for the umpires :)
  14. Yeah, had to put with the Ch7 HD version, no where near as good.
  15. Time to move Horse on.... 1 of 4 in Gf's during his time. Need new ideas to try and get them one.
  16. Yeah, no really obvious Norm Smith yet, Lohmann mattered early with his 3 goals, but nothing since so far. Hate too ay it Neale has been super clean, maybe Ashcroft.
  17. Maybe horse is going to WC as rumoured... so much for watching a great tight final
  18. expected more at this opening from the swans. Repeat of 2022 for them.
  19. While I don’t discount a comeback given what’s happened these finals, lions look the far better organised side.
  20. Best flag ever, as it's written in the AFL record books as ours forever. For the finals we were the dominate side. We haven't performed as we should have in the finals of 22/23. More so in 23 and how it may have turned out without the hit on Angus. The crowd was dominated for support for the Dee's. P.S. I still greatly appreciate the members that shared their numbers that allowed more of my demon supporting family members And lots of others in the WA supporter group) to attend here in WA (since at the time we only had 1 GF guarantee membership). 2025 will be our year again :)
  21. Happy when we got him for peanuts. Was handy in his first year though he took a lot away from rangers as they focussed on moving the ball along his wing, more often than not. Another spot to fill with a future champion :)
  22. We are missing lots. but.... Our ball handlings skills have really dropped off. Confidence? Just missing or fumbling the ball is really hurting us, if we were as clean as were the last few years it could at least match with the players we have missing. Transition year after the clean out and the massive injury list. Fingers crossed we'll be in the other pool for next season on the fixture. Does anyone know if we have a good draft hand for the girls, as its supposed to a good one.
  23. An article on the issue on the AFL website: https://www.afl.com.au/aflw/news/1229934/list-size-debate-rages-as-third-club-goes-below-benchmark?fbclid=IwY2xjawFg7E1leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHa5uUwufCOHeEEzQZqjaHHzROogSt8Sxy-AZKg2Zb55-bgrAZs_k_ZVgHQ_aem_YfjFTp2HuKehJxlowLcHBw
  24. Nah that would be any number of bulldog players
