McLean unhappy with Casey Fields location
Bates Mate replied to Straight Sets Simon's topic in Melbourne Demons
The commute is all freeway from Marribynong once you get down racecourse road all our traning over summer was after 10 am so peak traffic would not have been a big issue and he would have been going aginst traffic both ways the instances of a 2 hour communte would have been very very few and far between I am on the road for a living the monash can be a car park at times in peak but cmon brock it aint that bad anyway off ya go enjoy carlscum -
Paul stewart can ruck

win/win saints window is open and they lack the speed and skill Lovett has. Bombers wanted him out anyway and Pick 16 is higher than they thought they might have got

It is all getting a bit confusing for me So far we have Robbo, Wheatly, Whelan, Brock gone that to my understanding leaves us with 2 more to trade/delist so we can use our draft picks although we may pass as early as 34 how do Valenti & Spencer fit into this are they counted as rookies still or are they officially on our list becuase we elevated them?? So if it is 2 players to delist who will it be Bartram, Bell, Newton (even through contracted), Mcnamara,PJ,

I agree I can see opposition backmen really trying to push ,shove and intimidate Liam and Jack Watts next year , I would too both are built like toothpicks . Miller is worth being in there if only to step in and protect. If MIller isnt there to do this who will fly the flag down there Newton

I was not aware of Gourdis personal issue , I was comparing them as they both had gun midfields in their u/18 championship year. You may be able to shed some more light on Panos , have you seen him play?, what has he done since championship ?? Has he ben dominating at U/18 reserves level? I just want some more info on the kid as he is being talked up by many is it just because we need a tall forward or is it warranted??

I couldn't find a thread on Panos seeing as so many posters think we should take him with pick 11 or 18 I thought I would start one. Interesting that he was eligible last year but no one took him not even as a rookie. I know he had a pretty good championship but I think he was helped by having Trengove , Tapscott etc feeding him good quality ball. The same thing happened with WA's David Gourdis on 07 when he had Morton, Palmer and Masten feeding him. Gourdis was touted as a top 20 pick in a strong draft and ended up at Richmond on the rookie list and has since been dropped of their rookie list What has Panos done since championship I can't find much info on him I got the below from http://www.contestedfooty.com/2009/08/matt...t-prospect.html Position: Key Forward Matthew Panos is a name that is starting to get mentioned as a first round draft chance (some even have him in the top ten!), largely due to his performance in the championships and his subsequent selection in the under 18 All Australian team. At 192 centimeters and 85 kilograms Panos is proving to be a damaging power forward with exceptionally strong hands and good finishing, Panos is a certainty to get drafted, despite being overlooked in last year’s draft. Those with doubts about Panos point to him not being drafted last year and claim that he is a bit one dimensional. The first criticism is fair as no one knows exactly why he wasn’t drafted last year but the latter point is still unknown, he looks agile enough to adapt to other roles from what I have seen but he hasn’t proven himself outside of the power forward role. For mine where Panos goes in the draft will depend on clubs needs but I’d slot him in around the late first round/early second round area of the draft.

Dylan Grimes is testing well , would love to see him join his brother if he lasts until 34

If Butcher lasts to Pick 11 and we get him he will suddenly go from overrated giraffe who can't kick to biggest steal in draft history gun forward.

davey you no good money grabbing non top 40 in AFL, only 6 brownlow vote getting, holding the club to ransom, dodgy hamstring ,ungrateful, over the hill ,only one good season, soft, only gets cheap possessions , won't be around when we win our next premiership hack what's that you say? signed a 4 year deal to stay at the demons Aaron Davey I love you you are one of the best players in the league
-
Wow !! just wow can't believe the storm this has cause here and every other footy froum site He is a Melbourne player gives his all to the club , has a young family so trying to get the best deal for his/their future until he has officailly signed to another club I back Aaron and the club all they way this is a great time in our history with all the young talent and early draft picks , I am excited

lOVE THE KID hard at it, has good skills and pace I just hope his early career injury problems are past him, has missed too much footy in the 1st 2 years Fitness staf get it right or we could end up like St Kilda circa 2002-2007

1. SCULLY 2. Trengove after that I don't care as long get the above 2 I will be happy I trust the FD to pick the best players with 11 and 18
-
I thnik gamble is a good player, takes a good grab for his height but a 184cm forward is prob not top of our list, but would take him for a 2nd/3rd round pick (not 18) + Newton
-

Best part of whole article is col garland is going to be ready to do a full pre season go you good thing

struggles to run 5km a game?? would like to know how you know this info, do you have his gps data Mr Morton? Ben dickson on Future stars on Sunday said the most impressive thing about butcher is his repeated sprint leading up the ground and his presenting at CHF not just FF. I am warming to the prospect of Butcher as we get get closer to D Day a 197cm forward who can mark and kick goals do not come around every day. Could be our Kurt Tippett. I will support the club 100% with who we take with pick 2, they have recruiters watching every game, not just snippets on you tube

Hi All, just wanted to get your throughts on who should replace Col for the next three weeks Personally I think Dunn should be given 3 weeks to prove himself. He has been in the best 5 for casey for the last month and been kicking goals and getting heaps of the ball. I would like to see Bailey use him the same way he has been using Sylvia floating between the wing and half forward, providing a lead up target and kicking some goals. Let him stick to one position for at least 3 weeks and give him a chance to settle We need to see if Dunn is up to it

This is devastating shoulder injuries are one the worst injurys a player can get , been through it myself even with full rehab the shoulder is never the same again and re occurance in highly likely ,guess the positive is they are not KPP marking players I wish them all the best and hope they come back as good as ever , we can't take a trick with our injuries Wona, Buckley, Garland, Blease now these 2 all with serious injuries
