  1. Disagree. I think we should get every player that has been mentioned on Demonland, all 73 of them.
  2. Contrasts nicely with the info I got yesterday from someone close to the Bombers, that he will be a Bomber next week.
  3. No it doesn't affect your current picks. It will be an extra pick. They haven't really explained if the highest pick you can get is mid first round or after your first round pick. There is a big difference.
  4. Yes. Word out is that if Goddard goes, Saints won't take a FA, which will maximise their compo pick. That pick would probably be as high as it goes which is round 1 pick. Therefore if you are losing a star player for big bucks to another club, your best pick will come if you don't get any FA's into your club that year. If we lose Beamer and say Rivers and then get say Byrnes and Russell, our compo is diluted.
  5. One can only hope. I must say that when Bailey was Coach and we knew we were rebuilding, I accepted our plight. This year however has been a disaster. Hopefully we don't see a repeat, as it is finally getting to me.
  6. Really enjoy reading the trade speculation. Pity though that a lot of it is just made up and never a chance of happening.
  7. This makes the compensation easier to understand. "As for compensation, Anderson says in the document: ''We confirm that the compensation formula will produce a points rating for players based on two factors: 1) new contract of the free agent and 2) age of the free agent. ''Draft picks will be allocated to clubs based on the net total points for free agents lost and gained during the transfer period. Draft picks will be allocated to one of five places: first round, end first round, second round, end of second round and third round.'' Read more: http://www.theage.co...l#ixzz27ZvCeMMB
  8. Just heard that Dale Roberts is not going to the Draft camp. Clearly trying to fly under the radar.
  9. We will get saturday out of the way and then we can get down to the real football, trading and drafting.
  10. The Big Butcher. Played only 12 games and is 21.
  11. I don't know much about him, but surely if we wanted to get him Clark and Rawlings would be a big help.
  12. They will get rid of a few to fit him in. I was told as well as him they after Caddy, Moloney, Rivers and others. Pretty aggressive, like when they changed Coaching panel.
  13. You think so? How so. This is what I said " We give up the player we took at 11, who everyone agrees has talent and is still young......Gysberts would have to be somewhere between 15 and 30 given he is contracted and has tons of upside. " Don't see anything that I said that makes a compelling argument against my position. My position is that Gysberts is far more valuable than Pedersen for the reasons quoted.
  14. Was just told that Goddard is a done deal with the Bombers. We will see.
  15. Old, you chopped my post and changed the whole meaning. I repeat it below. I was trying to show that Gysberts is different to Sellar and that if Sellar who was taken as a top 5 pick and now went at 54 and is probably better than Pedersen , Pedersens value therefore is more like Sellar's than Gysberts'. In other words I value Gysberts far higher than the other two. " Great. We give up the player we took at 11, who everyone agrees has talent and is still young, for a 25 year old VFL player who can't get into North's side and wasn't even good enough to be drafted as an 18 year old. What do we put as Sellar's value, given he played most of the games this year, is taller and was quite handy for us in a number of positions. To me Pederson is about pick 50, similar to Sellar who went at 54 despite being a top 10 pick as a junior. Gysberts would have to be somewhere between 15 and 30 given he is contracted and has tons of upside. "
  16. Weather is looking poor for GF day. I think that favours the Swans.
