Is it just me, who thinks Hugh Hefner's latest marriage at 86 to his 26 year old voluptuous Playboy magazine centrefold bride is sad? She is nearly 40 years younger than his daughter. Yes she is beautiful and every man including me might desire her, but don't we see this for what it really is, a form of prostitution, publicly paraded for the public. Maybe I have become old and bitter and very cynical, but I don't think I would want the whole world laughing at me and my wife. She even said when they broke up last year he was hopeless in bed. Who needs that sort of private crap out in the public and then he goes back with her, to try and show the world that he won. Well yes his money did win. If I was his age I wouldn't consider a woman for my wife unless she was at least 30 ( bad joke to end the post ).

THE WILSON FILE - the arrogance at the heart of the innuendo
Redleg replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Calm down everyone, Fan is having a bit of fun and taking the mickey out of everyone. He is as committed a Demon, if not more, than most of us. -
Too early in the year for sarcasm? I didn't and don't. Obviously unnamed people had unknown discussions that turned out fruitful for 3 clubs. No vaults. No sacking jokes. No emails. No Wilson articles.
-
I also was a fan of taking Rodan even for a season or two. He is a type of player we don't have, can get his own clearances, explosive off the mark, very strong, hard to tackle and stop, with games experience. If his body holds up and we can get a couple of seasons out of him it will be worth it. Bonus, he cost nothing.

No we didn't, because that could be another 5 month inquisition, this time on draft tampering. We just advised what we could do if we were in a certain position after father/son nominations and they decided what they would like to do. They obviously liked what we could do and what they could get and everyone including GC was happy with what they got as a result. No deal, no tampering, just stating options and positions.
-
Are you forgetting Dawes also came with 20 which we got back from 13?
-
Agree. Spoke to him at length once at the Bentleigh club before he started getting a regular game and he was a lovely boy and so keen to do well at the club. Time does not make this any less sad, taken way too soon. Hope the club keeps his memory alive and all the best to Trish and his family and friends. Always a Dee, gone but not forgotten.

Well done WJ. I obviously did not see enough of RDB play as my best Dee has always been Robbie and best ever Matthews.
-
Thanks Deebest. Just briefly what would the Assistant Recruiting Manager's tasks be during the year. How does it change in the top role? I have always been interested as to what they do over a year when football is only played for part of it.

I can understand why certain people may not like CS, family grudges, job losses etc, but what has CC done to anyone, other than try and get the best for the MFC at all times.
-
That is an interesting point you make. I agree, which game was more shameful, the one in which the players tried their guts out and a kick after the siren beat them or the one in which they lay down and let an opposition run riot. I know which i find more disreputable and a blight on the game. Perhaps we should have a 5 month Inquisition into 186.

You can add all the rest of the draftees inc rookies and trades and it does look ok on paper. I suppose the sheer volume of changes gives hope. Then again we have drafted who we thought were good players before and been disappointed. Hopefully this batch give us something and blend well with and add improvement to the current list.

Happy New Year all and lets hope for a better 2013 for the Dees and a safe and happy year for all of us.

You mean TV.

With a stand in Recruiting Manager as well.

Sums it up nicely.

Tempting fate.

No it's not my website, but I started the thread and I am attached to it. You attack a popular thread and call for it to be merged, one that has many varied topics and nearly 3700 contributions and over 111000 views and then you resort to name calling. Well done.

And Mitch claps it through as it sails over his head, for another Dees goal.

AFL Commission and Officials to face the music too?
Redleg replied to Spirit of the Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Lets add WC to the list of removed flags then. You have won me. -
Gawn to Rodan at the bounce, who receives a sensational shepherd from Viney, over to Toumpas, who kicks to Dawes, who handballs to Byrnes, who bombs to the goal square where Howe takes the mark of the year and coolly goals from a few metres. The Dees are on fire. Gee, Neeld has turned this team around say the media. Go Dees say the fans.

Drop the suspended sentence, findings that we didn't tank and that CC's joke was not funny to the AFL, an apology for the damage and disruption the Inquisition has caused the MFC, no fine to the club as CC's joke was his idea alone and then the AFL give us $250k more in grants next year. I could probably live with that. Even simpler, my solution posted above, no charges, case closed.

Seems like Petterd is being accused of making vile comments to women at the game and that his comments have been recorded. That won't appear in any Wilson column. At least his President seems totally uninterested.Hope it doesn't hinder his career at Tigers.

The mods wouldn't let me be one.

AFL Commission and Officials to face the music too?
Redleg replied to Spirit of the Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
What would happen if a journo hinted at it? Pies to lose 2010 flag with Pendles and Daisy involved, Hawks to lose 2008 flag with Buddy and Roughy involved, Blues to lose 1995 Flag as a result of salary cap cheating and a number of those involved playing. Bombers flag of 2000 could also be at risk.Imagine the outpouring of support for us then, urging the AFL to make this all go away. .
