WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ALEX NEAL-BULLEN

And added a brother. -
Yes.

I am in Daylesford for the weekend, happy with our draft picks. The people here all seem to be Demons fans as I asked the waiter in the restaurant what the beef was and he said Angus. Then they named a building after Petracca, it had a cross on it and they apparently worship the Dees inside. Then down the road there is a restaurant named after Oscar with a big M out front.
-
Ok you convinced me. 5.
-
Sincerest condolences to his family and friends. Terribly sad.
-
Probably because they were already playing with us before 1986.
-
Gee 4 hours.
-
Well at least it looks like the Saints won't take him.

Strange then that the Coach yesterday declared him the best player in the draft. -
Leave the counting to me, especially down.
-
Or that he wouldn't get past GWS at 4 and therefore not get to Pies pick at 5.
-
I agree, that is what I thought, but if they take McCartin, why did Richardson say yesterday that Petracca was the best player in the draft? Surely, if you were taking another player, you wouldn't want to advertise the fact that you had bypassed the best player in the draft. He could easily have said that both players were equal and that they would take the one who best suits their needs. Strange comment.
-
Or from that great philosopher Redleg, " the future is best determined in hindsight".
-
Great. Thought it would be a good idea to do it after the Rookie draft, as we can then discuss the rookie picks over desert of nana fritters.
-
Despite the late mail I still think Petracca will go 1.
-
AFL looking pretty healthy. Saints over $9m in debt and Lions over $10m in debt. More to come, I hope we are ok.
-
That is ok for me. We await OD and WJ.
-
For those dining at Wongs, I just noticed that the Rookie and PSD drafts are on Wednesday the 3rd. Maybe it would be better if we changed the date to after these drafts, say either thursday the 4th or tuesday the 9th. More to discuss. What are your thoughts.
-
Love all the photos of ALL the shapes and structures. Another reason why this thread is the best on DL and should go on forever.
-
I'll go early with this, Wednesday 1.
-
No, but it has used drink bottles.
-
That should fill up the next two days.

I am now seeing myself as the " grass is always greener" type of guy, because of this ND. I had accepted for quite a while that Petracca was the best player in the draft and that the Saints would naturally draft him. GWS are in love with him and wanted to give multiple early picks to get him. I then accepted that we would draft Brayshaw and McCartin and have come to look forward to this scenario. A KPF and a mid. Today in an AFL article, Saints Coach Richardson says that Petracca is the best player in the draft, but that a KPF is hard to come by and that they should look at taking him. If that happens, then we can pick arguably the best player in the draft, with pick 2 or 3 and have arguably the 2 best players in the draft with picks 2 and 3, yet somehow that is making me feel uncomfortable. I think I need this to be over, so I can move on with whoever we get.
