Every year for the last 10 years or so I have adopted a player as my hopeful big improver. Unfortunately Evans was last year's. This year I am going with two, Toumpas and Salem. Both fairly high picks, but also suffering health issues last year. Hopefully they have a big improvement in their games.

Disappointed to say it but I think you hit the nail on the head. With the influx of talent and more development, places in the side will be harder to get. This to me is a Coach's decision. It does allow Jack to concentrate on his own game, something he will need to do. He has courage and talent and just needs to improve his disposal.

I think King is seen as a forward and he is years away with his body shape if he was to be tried in the ruck . My prediction is a mature body ruck and key forward .

You could see the confusion on the Dees table when pick 40 was called, with Oscar there to grab, but a player they rated far higher in Neal-Bullen , also there. Roos made a face, as if he was saying, oh well we will lose Oscar but get a much higher rated player. When 53 came, they couldn't read out Oscar's name quick enough. I think they were shocked to get the last two. Taylor said the week before that he thought Oscar would be long gone by our pick 40. We had a good draft.

Unless we draft a recycled player, I think Harmes will be the replacement for JT.

So for pick 23 we got Frost, Neal-Bullen and Oscar. Have to be rapt with that.
