Just the thought of it is making me ill.
-
More likely Mission Impossible or Austin Powers.
-
Not strictly Paleo but 5 kg,s lost.Haven't had a chance to discuss team with WJ yet.
-
Up on the Coast with WJ. We should be able to pick the opening match Dees team after a short discussion.

I must admit that while I went often to Sandy, Casey has really put me off. It is quite far to travel, is cold and windy and has no atmosphere, even for VFL games. I don't think the Casey experiment has improved our membership either. If we were to have a stand alone VFL team, which seems to be the way most clubs are heading, then playing somewhere like Elsternwick/Prahran, with new facilities and reasonable ground control could have many advantages, not least of all, better attendances at VFL games.
-
Would have thought if that was our best option, Jackson would be all over it and Elsternwick would not be discussed, unless it is a rental ploy.

Just for interest sake and I am techno dumb, do you use the charging chord to connect your I phone to the TV? If you do, what do you do next to get it on the TV?

It is abundantly clear that in football it is a far bigger crime to lose matches, than it is to reign over a program of pharmacological experimentation on your team.

Are we working backwards now?
-
Yes that has trains, trams and buses nearby as well. Ground size could be a problem though as they like to train on AFL size where possible. Also not sure of infrastructure there and if there is the room needed to build the facilities they would require.
-
Keep running into Dees fans and the feeling of optimism is widespread.
-
That will be the key to the whole deal.
-
There may be an issue with the amount of other clubs we share with at AAMI, also the lack of control of the facilities, rental and security of tenure.
-
They are looking at moving as well. Either that, or some other facility of some sort was mentioned in the press a few weeks ago.
-
Selfishly it would suit me as I live close by. We obviously need a permanent home, with the best facilities. I trust Jackson to steer us in the right direction. Like other clubs, we could get help financially from the AFL for a new facility.

Guys, have a happy and healthy new year and go dees.

The comparison was to Gary Jnr, as far as accumulating the possies, but also to Gary Snr in regards to the freakish goals. Petracca is more like Gary Snr's size and is apparently a strong overhead mark, but also able to create goal from nothing. This team mate of Petracca's and his former Coach, have both said that they think the Saints were mad to pass him up. FWIW, the Saints acknowledged that Petracca is the better player, but that they drafted for need. I hope he is as good as some are saying, we need a few breaks. If he is, we have really got lucky with this draft. On paper only, I think this is one of the best draft/trade periods I can recall for us. One thing we know, is that Roos has changed 50% of the list since he arrived and there will be a few more changes at season's end.

Talking Point: An uncompromised fixture
Redleg replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Only the last 5 games, but it doesn't have to be a separate fixture. It can be done from the preceeding years final ladder. That then gives normal times to arrange everything. -

I wouldn't have wasted the 10 seconds typing if it was.

Spoke to my nephew, who knows someone who played with Petracca, who described him as Ablettesque.

What about 1-17 play each team once and reverse home ground the next season, then split into groups of 6 and you play the other 5 in your group to make 22. If you are say 11th at round 17, you are in group 6-12, then play others in that group to finish the season. That would be fair. -
Hopefully.

Very disappointing to read in an article the other day, that Troy's parents and Tricia are estranged. They said that it had to do with the book Tricia wrote the next year after his death. They said their hearts were still open to Tricia. Hopefully they can all get over their issues and reunite.
