  1. Australia certainly can be tough at times, cyclones, floods, droughts, bushfires and now tornadoes. Still we are the lucky country. All the best to the people suffering at the moment and I mean the weather victims, not Melbourne supporters.
  2. Glad to be back with my fellow banana lovers.
  3. Back in Melbourne after going through Cyclone Oswald at Gold Coast. It was really scary. Lucky to get a flight out of Brisbane today.
  4. I thought it was Viagra.
  5. I have become a tissue man, ever since I realised that with hankies you carry all your germs and nasal discharge around with you in your pocket. Yuk!
  6. Have just dribbled all over my IPad.
  7. And now for some really good news, I return on Monday. Hope to get down to my first training run for this season and give a report. Looking forward to seeing the new boys and also the physical development in some of the younger members like Taggert and Tynan etc. Last night out for dinner with WJ and the wives and ran into Guy McKenna and about 10 of the Suns. Must say I didn't recognise any of them. Think they were some of the newer ones. When we finished I noticed Guy in a corner with the boys having a meeting. Guy is a lot smaller than I imagined, he seems about my height 175 cms and that seems wrong, anyway when I stood next to him we seemed the same height. He was a great player for the Eagles and he probably needs some success this year to continue as Coach, one would think.
  8. GWS have a new Vice Captain but I won't mention him.
  9. Had half a banana for breakfast. I am however a glass half full type of guy, so it was good. Any news stories convicting us today?
  10. I wouldn't, mind a diversion.
  11. Not in the slightest. I am always gratified when someone feels happy reading or contributing to this thread.
  12. Feeling happier?
  13. I presume that is a countdown to the MFC reply to the AFL on the tanking issue. The AFL will need time to consult on our reply so I am not sure of the value of the countdown. If however it brightens your day count away.
  14. Could you see me?
  15. Feeling better now that I have had some banana yoghurt. Sunbaked today, of course using my banana boat sunblock. Lying on a banana lounge. Banana zinc cream on the lips.
  16. Hope your friend is feeling better. WJ and I are off the love boat now and on the Gold Coast for a few days. We will be dropping in to the GC Suns to see how things are progressing there. They are close to Ashmores Steak House where you can apparently get a great plate of Moreton Bay Bugs.
  17. Feeling really sick to day, at one stage I thought I had a kidney stone. Now think it may have been a bad banana I ate.
  18. Looking at my gut lately that is quite possible.
  19. In Brisbane and going to Lions training to speak to Beamer and Stef. about being in the home state of bananas and whether that fact will reinvigorate their careers.
  20. Jack Watts just tweeted that he is bulking up on bananas as he doesn't want the club to have any tanking issues about him this year.
  21. Just got back from speaking to Kurt and he says we have nothing to worry about. He said if we were tanking we would have played PJ on Brown in the last quarter against the Tigers.
  22. I am going out to interview Kurt Tippett to get his inside view of the tanking persecution.
  23. Had a banana foster for dessert tonight with cherry Garcia ice cream. I can't work out why my pants feel tight. Yesterday my Doctor told me to watch my drinking, so I am off to find a bar with a mirror.
  24. Next you will tell me they see you coming and going.
  25. Well I am here in Hobart and the locals tell me that there was no tanking; we were just no bloody good. They know their footy.
