WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Redleg replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
You are correct in a sense, as it has two meanings in law. To be found guilty of an offence, is to be convicted of that offence. However you can be convicted of an offence, without the recording of a penalty known as a conviction. For example, you are convicted of the offence (found guilty), but the penalty recorded, is a fine without conviction, or a bond to be of good behaviour, or a diversion, etc. -

Hello to all those on here who wanted him gone. Possibly the same people who wanted the Captain gone at 21. -

Good report. This made me smile however, that a 1cm difference in height between players, is noticeable on the field. Did you allow for the thicker hair? -

Coming here soon. -
And his Dad gets a new job. And his family have to move back to SA. And he walks out on his father's club, the club he has supported, that took him as a father son. And he leaves his mates. And he leaves at a time when we are on the up. And he leaves the G and, and, and.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Redleg replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Clayton is 1 cm shorter and 4kgs lighter than VDB, as published on the club site. No midget now. Being young, he could still grow a bit and with hard work, will put on muscle. With Brayshaw, VDB and the smaller but hard as nails Viney and others like Tyson, Jones N etc, we could be building a very good midfield. Exciting times ahead. -
He gave me the impression he was running on the spot.

So we have two players in Number 5 now?
-
You have.

Biff, were you aware the Gat is for sale. Just ridding the place of all the ghosts first.

Mentioned in the Sun today, that MFC and Hogan's Manager, are to meet to discuss an extension to his contract. Hopefully his contract can be extended by 5 years and that will be one distraction removed.

The term " white knight" came from the article. The "bolded" description was my guess.

Just announced in the Supreme Court that Hird's costs order, to be paid to ASADA , of about $750k, have been paid by a white knight. They weren't a LITTLE amount. I wonder who the white knight could be. Hird's claim against the Insurer has now been halved. PS. Didn't see your post, Choke.

His papers were clearly marked by the Coaches after about 7 years and 22 games at the Dees. Dawes had another year of a contract to go and is a better player than Fitzy. I would have liked him to stay as well, but can see why he wasn't kept. We are probably looking to Weideman, Oscar Mc, Hulett and the two Kings to develop into better players than him.

Your post shows exactly why people are tiring of Demonland. Someone questions a post and gets insulted in return. You call me a glad handler. I didn't resort to personal insults on your post. That is your response to someone who questioned your post, about Trengove being comfortably in the best 22, after some light training.

What does Fit, Big and Kick mean?
-
Well surely Franky, you are not trying to belittle the rest of the squad, by suggesting that a bloke who has been injured for 2 years, is not yet fully fit and hasn't done any contested work, could "comfortably" be in our best 22 then.

It is now being suggested, that this relationship may have been ongoing for 3-4 years, at a time when the participants were married, living together with their spouses and all very close family friends, with the males, workmates as well. I will leave it there.
-
Are you serious? He couldn't compete in contested work, as he is still early in his rehab from a major foot injury, yet you have him comfortably in our best 22, WOW !

Where is bubble boy?

I was surprised how big VDB is. Up close he looked nearly as tall as Dunn and has a strong frame. He is the Freo type mid, the type Roos loves. Another thing I noted, was just how fit these guys are and how much they run. They look much fitter as a group, than I have seen over the last 10 or so years.

Garlett and it was yesterday at training. Spilled a basic mark as a result. Talented but timid.

He maintained one preconception of mine though, when he ducked his dead and dropped a mark.
