  1. Just had lunch with WJ's nephew at Surfers Paradise. He is one of the doctors for the Suns. He is just in awe of Gary Ablett. I said he is in a long queue.
  2. Not sure I could make two laps in my current condition. But gee it was great vanilla slice.
  3. Amen brother.
  4. I just get the feeling Neil Craig knows something about the Coaching position at Melbourne, as he keeps repeating, if he is not what we are looking for, he won't get the job. He also keeps saying he was given the job for 11 weeks and that is his brief, nothing more.
  5. I think that was Socrates.
  6. Yes it was a bad one last night for Jimmy. I hope he is not dropped, as the best thing for him is gametime, just like Fitzy, who is now starting to feel at home in the side. The problem with Jimmy is, he has come with the high pick expectation and because of his hampered pre season and operation, he is struggling to find his best form. I think we will see a far improved Jimmy next year, barring injury.
  7. Apologies to the banana cake, but I sampled some vanilla slice cake last night, I forgot how nice it tastes. Haven't had any in years.
  8. Surely you have something better to do with your time than worry about the best thread on Demonland. Good luck with your grandson's lightning premiership day.
  9. Hopefully we can uplift them in the future.
  10. Just got an email from the club about sponsor offers and one of them was from Kaspersky. We must have them on board to some extent as a sponsor again.
  11. They may be hoping Byrnes likes it up there and takes a playing coach role in the NT next year. I am certain Spencer will be playing for Casey on sunday, unless there is a late injury to a ruckman.
  12. All the same to me.
  13. We have gone from bananas to "cauliflower" ears.
  14. I am pretty sure I am.
  15. I think Spencer will be at Casey this week.
  16. Look forward to seeing Jimmy play next year after another pre season, under a new coach and further away from his hip operation. Under extremely difficult conditions and circumstances he played his best game for us. That tells me a lot about him. He will be a good player for us.
  17. I really hope we don't decimate the Casey side like we have for the last couple of years. They deserve some success for their efforts.
  18. Oh well, we haven't lost in Dawin for at least a year.
  19. Another good sporting weekend for me. Dees smashed, Casey smashed, Australia beaten.
  20. Then he will be waiting for a year for his letter.
  21. Perhaps we could forward a letter of thanks.
  22. It's easy when you don't try.
  23. Jimmy is " DEVELOPING" . We will see a much better player after another injury free pre season.
  24. We are being showed up today by a strong skilful great wet weather side at their home ground. Not playing Rodan in these conditions was a big mistake.
  25. Broad is following in the family footsteps. His father chris broad, refused to leave the wicket after being given out, in a match in the mid eighties. Graham Gooch had to walk down the pitch and tell him to leave. Given the obvious dismissal, young Broad's performance was extremely poor. It is one thing on LBW's and disputed catches, to wait for the umpire, but when you know you are clearly out, you don't cheat. His performance was pathetic. Sadly it looks like the Poms will win this test, unless we bat brilliantly in the 2nd innings.
