  1. Maybe just maybe Jack Watts has been ruined by this club with its poor standards and constant changes and now that we are getting it together he just needs to refocus. One thing we know for sure and that is that he has better skills than most of his team mates and is the best set shot for goal on our list. He also has the ability to set up play and deliver the ball accurately to team mates. Perhaps instead of throwing him out with the rubbish, we try and get him to fit into our plans and get the best out of him. This is the same bloke who was composed enough to kick the winning goal on the run against the Pies, on QB and then run down the other end, to grab a mark and save the game. He is also the same bloke who was thrown into the ruck and ran himself into the ground for us earlier this year. He has talent, lets try and get it used for our benefit.
  2. I lost mine in round 23.
  3. Gee I leave for 5 minutes and look what you guys get into .
  4. Not so worried about what Port will say but rather what the Crows will.
  5. No it is the old one.
  6. I doubt that Salem is up for trade, or rather being pushed for trade.
  7. How good is Danger? He made Buddy look like a waste of space. His aggression at the contest and his speed make him nearly unstoppable. He is a match winner. We don't have one.
  8. Must have damaged a septum.
  9. He snores in his sleep.
  10. Neither do I and neither do the club, they are just more pragmatic now. I think if you are seen as reasonable to deal with, clubs are more likely to steer leaving players to you instead of the ars-holes.
  11. Not quite, but getting closer.
  12. I wonder if something like this would work. Gibbs and Blues pick 21 or whatever Carlton's 2nd pick is to Crows. Pick 10 and MFC Player ( Watts/Kent?) to Blues Lever and 3rd round pick to Dees.
  13. I know for a fact that we don't think like that, as the List Managers know very well that what goes round comes round. The mantra is generally be fair in dealing, though of course at the same time trying to get the best deal, but the key word is "fair". The clubs that constantly try to screw other clubs are well known. I think this deal may get done early in trade week, thereby allowing the Crows to deal for Gibbs and others.
  14. But we haven't made our plans public, Taylor isn't commenting, everyone else is.
  15. Would suggest after trade week.
  16. This is the same Brian Waldron who said Lever was going to the Pies. PS. Sorry Demon 77, didn't see that you had posted this already.
  17. Scott played every game in 04 until he got injured, but played only 27 of the previous 66 and my recollection is that he was no fan of Daniher. He played several reserve games, but yes did have some injury concerns. I recall at the time that many were sceptical of the illness reason used for him to go home. My apologies to Scott if it was true, but many at the time thought it was untrue. You may have some more info on that. I think the info at the time was that his mother was unwell, but again you may have more info on that. I remember talk at the time that he wanted to be away from Daniher.
  18. We got pick 12 for Scott, who at the time wasn't getting a game from Daniher. We were treated fairly by the Crows. They played him we didn't, much to the angst of several Demon supporters, myself included. Scott was not at the level of Lever when they got him.
  19. I accept that you get monkeys for peanuts and for class you have to pay. I trust Taylor/ Mahoney etc to get a good deal done, but think the Danger deal, bearing in mind he was one for the best in the AFL at the time, does seem to set a benchmark and hopefully we can get Lever for a bit better than that deal as he is no Dangerfield, ( yet ).
  20. Sorry to nit pick but Gus was pick 3.
  21. And Pendles, Gaff, Prestia and Shuey, just to name a few, were Demon supporters. It means nothing.
  22. Not sure the interest is there so I will start at this stage with a countdown in months, 2
  23. Looks to be a very busy trading season this year.
  24. Not really, but I have often thought I would kill at lawn bowls, because I was a brilliant carpet bowler.
  25. I wonder if we would even have this thread, if our idiot recruiting manager Prendergast, had taken Talia as everybody expected, instead of Jordan Gysberts, in a mind boggling, stupid pick, of Cook and Toumpas proportions. ( Yes I know he didn't pick Toumpas ). Oh and BTW, I am positive if he had, we could guarantee that we would have played finals this year, as he would have stopped at least two goals, that we allowed this season, if not have won us a close game outright. Thanks Barry, you butchered this club.
