Andrew Gaff
Yes but he is in it and available free. If you got Gaff and Wallis, you would be gaining better players and with experience, to help our young midfield.

He can handball and kick to a team mate for starters. He can make a decision within 2 minutes and not get caught holding the ball. He can kick a goal, 3 recently in a game. He can take a contested mark. He is a better player than Tyson.

Wallis has skill Tyson doesn’t.

Not sure the club sees that as a priority. Oscar, Frost, Lever next year, Petty after a second pre season and Keilty is a fair bunch. Tim Smith can also go back and Joel Smith though a bit shorter can also pinch hit. Assuming Pedo has retired and if not he is another who can pinch hit. Who would you be looking at?

I think we should be targeting Mitch Wallis, who is a year older and on the outer at the Dogs apparently and will come a lot cheaper. If you can get both great.

Nic Nat I think is only contracted until end of 2019. His next contract will be well south of $1m per year and he will accept it, as he has been heavily paid while injured. WC have been good to him and he will repay them with a reduced contract.

The Many Sides of Jake Melksham
Taking players from other clubs who were possibly high draft picks or not, but who didn’t produce their best at the club who drafted them, has been successful many times. Often more so than drafting. A couple of reasons for this could be that you have seen them against senior players and you might know of a reason why they haven’t performed to their ability, like injury or homesickness for example.

Yep, match means match. You offer exactly the same or better.

Ok. So the question now is if he is in negotiations with them. If not, IMO he is gone. If it is big money offered by the Eagles and for 6 years and he is not even negotiating, then he clearly wants out. If he was staying, you would think he would be locked away by now, given the Eagles offer was more than 3 weeks ago or you would hear that they are close to a deal.

New CEO - Gary Pert
I think a few people are being spooked by Pert, because PJ has been so good and a few people are hearing gossip about some problems at Collingwood, which if true you would hope he has learned from. He was there for 11 years and oversaw their transformation, along with Eddie, to a powerhouse club. Hopefully he does a great job for us. If he is no good he can be moved on.

The interesting thing with Gaff would be whether the Eagles have made him an offer. If they have and he is just ignoring it, I think he is gone.If his Manager is negotiating with the Eagles then I think he will stay. If the Eagles haven't made him an offer, then they either realize he is going, or are just stupid. If you want to keep a player, you make them an offer and start negotiating. A failure to do so is a negative sign to the player. On the same note, I hope we are in negotiations with Gus and Oscar.

This going to the team you followed is not a trend in the AFL, just ask Juddy, Buddy and Prestia.

A few weeks ago Roos said he would become a star.
