I can't believe you Demonlanders. We played very good and you want all these changes. For those wanting Trengove this week then you have no idea. He is weeks away as he did not play last week and did not get a kick in first half. Roos will reward performance so unless there are injuries there will be only one change. Vince will be in and the unlucky Hunt out.

Garland was Garland in first half. Kicking sideways etc. BUT In second half he played like I have never seen before. He ran directly from backline, went past for handballs and was a very creative player. Yes believe it he was a creative player. He obviously finally got the message that he has to be an attacking defender to get a game. If he keeps playing in that attacking mode then he stands a chance.

I sat on the wing which is where Jack played both quarters(did not change over). I was very concerned at half time as he hardly got a kick. In second half went on ball and racked up all his possessions.

I counted 12 quality possessions for Trac. And two marks.

Umpires won the game for Hawks.

I spoke to Trenners at 3/4 time and he said he was feeling normal so hoped to play following week.

I was near the interchange bench and I can tell you that Petracca came off numerous times in the last quarter. He was also sent to defence at one point and I got the impression they were trying to keep away him from general play. Frankston were terrible and if you think he will be picked this week then you have no idea. He is definitely not fit enough for AFL. Brayshaw ran the game out so I like his chances this week.

I went to Casey to watch Petracca for the first time. For those who have not seen him I would describe him like this. Around the packs he hunts the ball like Viney(who is a very good player) but he is bigger, stronger, better kick, can mark overhead and quicker. I have no doubt he will become a superstar of the AFL.

Players do not automatically reward the lead. Leads are ignored every game for various reasons. One reason is lack of confidence. I have always been a Watts fan but one of the changes this year is that players are kicking to him. In the past they sometimes ignored his lead because they lacked confidence in him. This is just an example and not for general discuss on Jack. Maybe you should ask yourself if you played footy and whether you honoured every lead.

Think you should have a coffee with mother in law for rest of season. To give up at three quarter time shows what type of supporter you are. No further comment required

Hunt did not play because he played the last three weeks. Just needed a week off like the other players. Nothing to read into it.

Willi were bigger and stronger. Our skills were shocking. lumumba was very good and showed good skills . Caught sometimes but did not give away free kicks. Terlich was my second best player. Made some mistakes like everyone else but of course he is criticised for it . Hunt ran all day and skills were good. I really like him and will become a regular sometime in future. Weidermen was unlucky in than the ball was kicked over hid head most of day. Thought he ran to wrong spot a lot. spoke to Trengove and he told me he will play in two weeks and is very excited about it. Disappointed in bullen and stretch as they constantly fumbled. They were in middle with mitchie and we were slaughtered there.

I never post but I feel I have to reply to the criticism of Roos. The general public and media can be excused as they don't know the facts, but the MFC supporters really frustrate me as they should know better. The ultimate responsibility for player development and recruiting rests with the coach. If you disagree with that then you should stop reading now. In the two years that Neeld was coach, he brought 17 players on to MFC List. Viney was father/son so he gets no credit for him. He also gets no credit for Hogan as any coach would have traded for him in the same circumstances. Players, apart from Talls, start to hit their peak in year 3 and 4 so lets look at the players Neeld brought in that are in year 3 and 4 now. From the 15 players(excluding Viney/Hogan) Neeld brought in, five remain on MFC list and only Dawes gets a regular game. From player development he gets a 0 out of 10 and the same goes for recruiting. There are no players he brought in that will develop into regular senior players(yes I have made a call on Toumpas) When Roos took over he had no emerging players on the list, a low win/loss and 50% percentage. Under his two years he has brought in 19 players. I believe three players Clisby(gone) Riley and Hunt will not make it. Of the 16 players some are already regulars (Cross, Tyson, Vince,Salem,Garlett, Lumumba,Brayshaw) and ten will become regular senior players. That's 16 out of 19(you may argue the number is lower) but its way more than the 1 from 15 under Neeld. Of the 19 players Roos brought in, this week will make it 16 that have played at least one game. You must remember where we were and how far we have come before going off at Roos. In 2017 the new coach will have emerging 3 and 4 year old players which is vital for further success. Roos did not have that luxury.

I was at the casey game and I agree with this except for your oversight of Scully as a in. When measuring a players performance you must look at the opposition. Willy are 2nd on the ladder. I could not have been more impressed with Gawn's mobility. He often went passed for a handball receive, his foot skills good and tap work excellent. Must play this week and especially before Jamar comes back. Howe was very good and deserves promotion after last two games. Strauss had a good second half Wona is a long way away from AFL standard. Thought other posters were kind on their comments. He played midfield all day so you are supposed to get possessions. Big disappoinement for me. Blease not ready for promotion . Runs hard but still not clean enough with ball skills. So agree with your three ins and add Scully and Trengove

Obviously no one noticed the new game plan when Kangas were kicking in after a Melb point. Everytime the melb defenders would move up to middle of ground for a forward press. The kangas left two players alone in their forward line. If Kangas retained possession in the midfield after kick in they had players everywhere. So for those watching on TV thats why they had free players in forward line when they moved the ball quickly from kick in

[OUT - Grimes, Dunn IN - Bennell, Martin I can't believe this and other posts. We beat Adelaide because we dropped three soft players Bennell, Martin and Morton. Now you guys want to bring them back Bate had poor stats but everyone obviously missed what pressure he applied . eg During the last quarter in the forward pocket he made three repeat tackles. We should be playing those that have a go and only promote the three softies when they show hardness with casey

I have watched the last two weeks and I believe our midfield is presently not good enough and a problem. Midfield being starting line up in the centre and wings, thats five players. Moloney and Jones are not up to it. So who do we have left ?? So in search of a premiership team my top five prediction for end of year is Gysberts McKenzie Scully Sylvia Trengove I invite others to nominate their five best at end of year as this will be our future premiership team. Keep names to five and assume Scully will stay so no comments on that topic

Sorry you can't watch the dees but this is a great draw for us. Only 4 games against 2010 top 4, play GC twice, only 3 interstate trips ( don't count Darwin as its our home game) Only go to AAMI once(we always loose there) and Subi once I think this is best draw in a long time

"quality performance I expect from a player with Bruce's ability" When will people get it. He is not a star player but a good honest player who deserves his spot at this point in the team. I like Bruce but accept his limitations. He is a better player than Bartram Dunn and a few more. Can demonlanders just accept he is a good player and when the time comes that he doesn't deserve a game DB should retire him
