Hardwicke says, 'Forget the past, let's fix the future....ballot system' Sounds good to me. -

Yep - and Hawthorn rested quite a few last year in the final game @ Tassie? They had B graders in against a bottom team and won by a smallish margin. Nope here it is - against the GCS @Carrara, won by 9 points. Household names....Cheney, Bruce, Ladson, Paul Johnson, Thomas Murphy.... -
What point was On the Couch trying to make?

I love this post. Earlier this year I was lambasted for calling Roos a [censored] of the highest order and was roared down. So sick of his 'Swannies this' and 'Swannies that' - he, too, has had it in for this club all year. He's such a p*ick. -

Now, let's watch the papers re: club training and injuries. How many players will now have 'early' operations in preparation for October preseason? Particularly those who can't make the eight? List management, AFL..... -

Still opportunistic, muckraking journalism at a 'soft' target - I reckon they deliberately manipulated and confused McLean. Yep - I do believe it was set up from the start, but not to the extent McLean expected. -

I feel sorry for McLean in some way...Sheahan threw out a massive piece of bait and he swallowed it whole. Dumbest fish in the bay. -

And we will get action. At the moment, we're not up to AFL standard - admitting this is the 1st step to redemption and Neeld is no shrinking violet in this department. -

We cannot compete with the top 8 teams....yet! The draft will be bloody important, but so will another preseason where players will need to step up or get out. Jonesy is responding, Howe is responding, Tommy Mac is responding, Chip has been unbelievable this year (considering all the inside 50s!) Watts has developed poise and has become a leader down back, Blease is a lot of fun and the two skips will work out. Our job is not to white ant, but to support. -

No worries old dee, we always have a good debate....but.... Everyone knows this club is down at the moment and so let's pick on a soft target. Horrific injuries, poor list and poor selections have taken us backwards. Do you think that Neeld doesn't know all this? What about the scrutiny on Richmond? Best midfield ever and still can't make it? Voss? Tries to buy a flag but takes the club backwards 5 years by recruiting Fevola. Western Bulldogs? That's right, Western who? Sheahan, Roos and Healy are irrelevant. -

Are you yelling? Or is your caps lock stuck? If it's the former, sorry I don't respond. Find someone else to 'yell' at. Thanks. -

It gets better - Sheahan now says that the AFL must investigate the club. Roos says that Melbourne is now an 'irrelevant' club. Further, the MFC is still struggling due to the culture set up then.... Let's sink the boots in, boys. -
Squirming, uncomfortable.....admitted that both he and Bailey were terribly compromised. Called it 'experimenting' - Roos, Sheahan and Healy were gentle with him. I don't think we've heard the end of this.
-
Dunn did enough and Sellar needs work - I think they'll stay in.
-
They get overrun by Geelong - fade badly in the last quarter..... Sorry to be the bearer of indifferent news.

JT hasn't been in the system for 8 years?

He'll play and (i think) very much in Neeld's plans for 2013.
-
Don't see why JT would be dropped. I think he played okay on Saturday.

Freo will make it - soft run in. Bring on the trade period and the draft. I don't care who wins it, but not bloody Hawthorn - hate them.
-
'Let go' is different to 'wanting' to be traded. Jolly has 2 premierships. The Wiz went back home and was good at Freo. Brian Wilson had one more good game and Sean Charles was a mess. The rest are noteworthy for their inability to kick on - Cheney can't get a game, Bruce is finished, Marric is terrible at the Tiges, Warnock continues to fumble and collapse under pressure at the Suns. Not many have done much - the thinking might be that if Melbourne don't want ya, pack yer bags. The club will need to address this reality/perception.

If Sydney do this swap (which they won't) I'm in!!

A bit tough here, JC - many players take 2 or 3 years to recover from a broken leg (if at all!) Our own Bleaser, Barlow, Brown (Nathan), Lyon took a very long time and Sean Charles never played again. You and I both know it's a very serious injury.

I still think Dunny's a keeper - agree with the rest.
