Took a mate from Nth Qld for his 1st game.....he left at half time. Atrocious game to watch, I`m sure plenty switched off the tv at home before half time too. Gee we have had some poor Fri nite matches in the last 5 yrs, not a great promotion for our club on prime time

They should crank up the Benny Hill music whenever he gets the footy. That was a stupid, stupid decision by Juice. I kinda agree with you though on the entertainment factor!! It has been said many many times before, but he just may have played his last game of footy with the MFC, surely we should blood Howe or Cook now and Bate may likely go back with Juice. Back to the positives, Martin (ever improving), Evans (ripper debut) Watts (best game to date) n Gys.

If he stays in the team (very lucky if he does) he simply has to go forward. He singlehandly brought forward pressure into the game when he came onto the scene as a rookie. He is the easiest player in the comp to tag, because every hard tagger knows he will drop his bundle if you niggle him enough at every opportunity. As you say TU, he wont get tagged as much up forward and will most likely get more involved in the game Really disappointed in you Flash!

Gave him my biggest spray for the match when he whimped out of taking that simple mark. Even bettered the one I gave Newton with his incomprehensible left foot snap instead of kicking a simple goal on his natural right.

Have always loved his efforts, no doubting his courage, but his skill levels today were horrible and I agree at least 3 goals came directly from his not hitting targets. Some were opportunities for us to go forward and kick goals ourselves, 12 point turnarounds! People who look at his stats and say he had a good game obviously weren`t at Etihad today. By no means was he our worst player though. Oh and to get back to the thread, our season ended last week not today.

We had a crack for 3, but I thought we were woeful in the last 1/4 and pretty much packed it in when the game was there to be won.

True! Boy we have missed Van Persie. He looked pretty good in patches the other night!Having him alone may have seen some results turned! Even Fabregas, despite playing a large chunk of the season has been injured more often than not. Happy with 3rd possie, maybe 2nd!

Saw it! 1 of the goals of the year. Ends the Gunners chances too, if they weren`t already finished before the game. Their injury list resembles the Dees of the past 3 years!

Some interesting results this morning! Must admit, I thought the Gunners season was over, but there is a pulse! Fortunate however, clear handball from Fabregas in the last play of the match from Gerard, looked like it was going in!

Next fortnight will decide our fate! Any idea when Van Persie is due back? Get him fit, keep Cesc on the park and we are a massive chance this year! Agree if we lose Cesc, we`ll struggle. Many of our wins would have been draws, even losses without this bloke this year. How he is not a walk up start in the Spanish side is beyond me!

How good would it be if the Dees had a player who could sit on the bench for 3 quarters, come on for 20 minutes, kick 5 goals, win the game singlehandedly, then go back and sit on the pine for the last 5 minutes to rest up for next week!

I saw a bloke in a Freo guernsey that copped a bit which was excellent. It is pretty cool to see so much footy gear on though. Saw quite a few Dees caps. Boy, how lucky was Watto today! Shoulda been gone on 99! Meanwhile, the Poms are serving it up to SA in Durban. 4 wickets in hand with a lead of 170!
