Incredible that some Demonlanders would have been un-concerned if Clayton was traded out. He has developed beyond our wildest dreams since hitting the ground running in his first season. I doubt i will see another inside mid this good in the Red and Blue in my lifetime. The way he feeds the ball to others is just.... wow. Love this kid.

Nah Mono, he was quite good the whole match. Took 10 marks and smashed several packs... hit them hard. Kid had a really good game regardless of the quality of opposition. He looks a different player to last year. While im at it, i thought Chandler showed some real silk as well. Rosman has a gigantic tank and looks a perfect prospect for a wing. I thought the hype was OTT, but he actually did very well for a young bloke with so little experience. P.S. despite what the commentators said, i thought Sparrow had a much better game than Harmes, and the Beanpole Bradke gave it his all and wasnt useless. Majak early was right on top in the guts too. Easy to look good in a 107 point win, but this is what we should be dong to keep pressure on the senior players.

Learnings.

I hope after the amount of practice we had last year, that game day routines when we travel have been if not perfected, at least ironed out. Either way it wont be used as an excuse if we lose as last year showed. Anywhere Anytime Anyone. (or something like that)

The Saints wont waste a single moment worrying about a matchup for James Harmes. "Keeping them guessing" is the same as saying "i have no idea myself". No offence intended to the prior poster.

Saints and Dogs have the speed that always worries me, but i think we can take the Sainters for one of the reasons R.I.F. lists. Our backline is like a brick wall. Some extra speed down back would be handy, and their small could do some damage, but right now i have so much confidence in May and Lever in particular that i am backing us for the win. Saints are a good team so it should be a great game.

Great to have a first up win... but i still have no idea what "our brand" is supposed to look like. Regardless of how it looked though, 4 points is 4 points.

Probably best to wait until we have played a game or 7 i think. We have a few weapons of our own pace-wise. You might be right about the kicking part though.

Haha yeah i had purged Neeld from my MFC memories. Neeld was a failed Hard-man, but i had some sympathy for Bailey and thought he was poorly treated by the club.
