Does it matter? Is ruckman the least effective position on the ground? Today was one of the biggest hidings a ruckman has given in an AFL game and his team still lost. Grundy who is at a level of Gawn was so dominant at ruck contests it was embarrassing for “Snorter” Mumford. 73 hit outs to 14...... the game was lost (and almost won again) at the fall of the ball, not the ruckmans skill. Mumford was dragged out of a drug scandaled retirement to be GWS ruck, we’re lucky to have Gawn, Pruess is fine if needed as long as we have the on ballers to compete at the contest.

Most opposition players think our club is a joke, they’re correct. The West Coast players after our loss to them at Optus where saying we were chit during the song.

Too true and that is totally underplayed. Seeing the comments made by Danny Frawley relating to the Dons drugs episode and how it affected him as the president of the coaches association does highlight that. Seeing Brendan Bolton from Hawks coaching whole Clarkson was sick to the of his time at the Blues, it really and obvs our own Mark Neeld it is a tough gig.

I think Don needs a bit of a rest to collect himself before he jumps back into AFL. We talk about a blown season, they blew up a genuine deep into September opportunity for a couple of seasons.

Not sure I get that logic, I’d rather Hill than at least 3/4 of our list.

The thing I come back to in all of these cases is where are the player managers?! Where is their duty of care to the players who pay them? Maybe they do this but I’d have my players run through the rules relating to this every 6 months just so they are 100% clear. As I said maybe they do something similar already but they seem miss out on being brought up in these cases.

I read an article a couple of years ago when he was on the “road to recovery” from another injury about he had turned himself around and how excited he was to get back on the park, he also said he wanted to be captain of the Pies one day. I think he is a gun up fwd, not great on defensive side of game and can get found out. Love his ability to find space and can kick some goals. Youd think he would take a longer term and higher $$ deal to play with us considering his injury issues. He probably will stay a Pie.

I think I recall something along those lines, maybe in the disaster thread relating our meeting with the AFL commission. Personally don’t believe it, we’ve finally got some cash and 1 bad season we pull the shutters down? Happy to be corrected but doesnt make sense to me. As Mach said above id think a non-review/review/Pert making his moves after a some time in the role type clean out is more likely.
