  1. One of the reasons they are low on the ladder is that they lost to Melbourne.
  2. My eyes never fail me, I saw him doing a sudoku in the forward pocket "Disinterested" is a commonly misused word that rolls off the tongue easily, but it means unbiased. You would hope, for example, that the umpires were disinterested. What mono was saying is that if you don't care, the correct word is "uninterested".
  3. Working for me. Demons 19 -0. Try refreshing your screen.
  4. It's the most goals in a GF this millennium, which sounds even more impressive!
  5. Port Adelaide Football Club have announced a new phone number for angry supporters to vent their frustration as the switchboard at club headquarters is being overloaded with calls from disgruntled fans. The new number is 1800101010. That's 1800 won nothing won nothing won nothing.
  6. Oliver and Petracca don't have bad games, just good ones and great ones. Last night they merely played good games but others stood up. I'm loving it.
  7. Poor old Port are suffering a bit of an injury crisis at the moment and are hoping to bolster their list by recruiting some players from State leagues. I believe they are particularly interested in Nat Fyfe's younger twin brothers. Should they lose to Carlton next week, expect to hear a lot about Owen Fyfe and Norton Fyfe.
  8. Anyone. Anywhere. Any time.
  9. The two interstate games in a row issue has no bearing on this match as the second of those games doesn't take place for another nine days after tonight.
  10. Steven May can't be far off 100% either.
  11. Best looking and most intelligent supporters.
  12. Why would you spend good money on an NFT? I have NFI.
  13. Posters worried about BBB having to fly need to remember that it's only a short hop (not much more than an hour) from Melbourne to Adelaide, not a long flight to Perth, Darwin or Cairns for example.
  14. Bowie had many records to be proud of, but he preferred to be called David.
  15. I don't think Carlton have, either.
  16. Top of the board, bloated bulb.
  17. *bump* for the swollen shallot.
  18. Port Adelaide can't be too optimistic about crowd numbers on Thursday night. They're offering two tickets for the price of one in an effort to entice fans to attend.
  19. Marty Fields has this outstanding take on Carlton's chances this year: "Carlton are 13-1 for the premiership. Which means if you put $50 on, you will lose $50."
  20. He certainly would and I hope he does.
  21. David, you said that Bowey would set a record if he won. It can't be a record if it's been done twice before. And for YOUR information I cited Buckley and Scott in my post.
  22. Only one. The moustache.
  23. Footy fans over-estimate the impact of the "short" six day break between games. I've heard players say that it really doesn't make a lot of difference compared to seven days given their high levels of fitness and the expertise these days in recovery practices. Lever if fit and Brown if available to come in and no unforced "resting" for mine.
  24. That feat has already been achieved twice, David. Nathan Buckley at Brisbane in 1993 and Chris Scott the year after. Justin Koschitzke at St Kilda in 2001 followed by Nick Riewoldt in 2002. By the way mate, are you still in Ohio or have you made your way back to Oz?
  25. If the AFL were to send us down there (not gonna happen) we could be the Van Demons.
