  1. Summary: Like every ‘Captain’s Run’, the mood was up-beat, and the skills (under no pressure) were precise. I loved the banter, I loved the ‘voice’ when things got a little bit more serious, and I loved the obvious camaraderie between the players. They were having fun, and so was I! My main (humble) take-always were: Kossi is primed. His skills and goal kicking were sublime, and he looked a million bucks (but I hope we don’t have to pay him quite that much!). On two occasions, I saw him and Goody embracing. Read into that, whatever you want. Based on positioning at today’s mini match sim, Petts will play back on the weekend. Chandler was doing some solo set shots towards the end. He nailed most of them from around 40m in a ’tricky’ cross wind. Looked good! He was also very vocal in the drills. Max isn’t too far away. He wasn’t involved in any of the drills, but was running and kicking at what I’d estimate at 75%+, before most of the others took to the field. No knee strapping was a good sign imo. Grundy is growing in fitness. Gee he was quick off the mark in short sharp bursts in the mini match sim. Hard to estimate who might be sub, but Lawrie looked really classy in the ‘easy’ going. FWIW, there’s been a bit of very light drizzle over the last hour where I am (about 5/6 km from Adelaide Oval).
  2. Sorry mate. Couldn’t catch him. I was too involved getting player photos. Our boys were so, so obliging! All of our 5 Demon-mad grand Children will love me forever for this.
  3. Three quarter no contact drill. Petts is with defenders.
  4. Short sharp passes underChoco’s supervision. Very clean and precise. Choco barking instructions and applauding at times.
  5. Eclectic kick to kick, soccer and other warm up drills. Lots of banter. Very relaxed and having fun.
  6. Just arrived at North Adelaide oval. Max running and kicking at half pace, no strapping on knee.
  7. Outstanding recruitment! Fantastic development! Excellent re-signing! Both on and off the field, we continue to grow!
  8. Another insightful and most enjoyable podcast guys. We listened intently this morning, as we drove from Port Fairy to Robe along the Great Ocean Road, en route to Adelaide for the Gather Round. Love your work, love the Dees!!
  9. Ponchos. Our son mad one. Keeps him warm, and looks great! A fantastic way to show the longevity of your support through ‘thick & thin’.
  10. It’s still early days, but to my eyes, a few of our ‘second / third tier’ players have lifted there contributions and consistency by a notch or two this year. In particular, I’m thinking Sparrow, Rivers, Chandler, and when given the opportunity, JJ. I’d love your comments on this observation please. If this can be sustained, I reckon it could prove decisive come the latter rounds, and September. Love the pods. Keep up the great work guys!
  11. Great win Dees. Very even team performance, and more selection headaches for our Match Committee next week. More than happy with the 10 goal margin and the 15% that came with it. Onward and upward …….. Go Dees!
  12. 6. Grundy 5. Viney 4. Oliver 3. Hunter 2. Fritsch 1. Petracca TMac, Rivers, Sparrow unlucky.
  13. Of course, a win is mandatory, but this is a perfect opportunity for us to win big, and bank some valuable percentage. I’ll be disappointed with anything less than an 8 goal win, but I’m expecting Easter joy!
  14. Another outstanding poddy guys. Demonland and the podcasts are the football life blood for this interstate member.
  15. AFL site reporting that BBB was subbed out with a back complaint.
  16. 6. Oliver 5. Grundy 4. Lever 3. Langdon 2. Hunter 1. Petracca Special mentions: Rivers, May, Spargs, JVR, Nibbler, Chandler, Hibbo and others! Bloody hell, no wonder we won! 😄
  17. Just so proud of our boys today! Last week is a forgotten aberration! Onward and upward from here, while continuing to respect the game and remaining humble. I love our Dees to Premierships!
  18. Wouldn’t it be great if JVR were to become a stalwart of our great club, just like the Jones boy?
  19. We are too good and too proud to repeat last week’s dismal performance, and I know in my red & blue heart that we’ll bounce back strongly. There are so many incentives for us to win today, and I expect the return of our ‘never say die’ attitude to get us over the line by around 2 goals. Go Dees!
  20. I always love a debut, but this one seems extra special! Good luck young man. Go out and do yourself and the MFC proud.
  21. Well I’m old enough, and lucky enough, to have seen all of our ‘greats’ in the last seven or so decades, and I can honestly put my hand on my (❤️ & 💙) heart, and say that Clarrie is up there with the very best in my lifetime! Outstanding achievement Clas! You will be weighed down by medals around your neck, when the inevitable time comes, and you will have earned every one of them! I love your ‘never say die’ attitude! I love that you bleed ❤️ & 💙 for us, each and and every week!
  22. Fabulous interview with great insights into an area where most of us know bugger all! Thanks to Andy for organising, Bin and of course all Demonlanders who contributed questions. I loved Selwyn’s frequent references to our holistic ‘team’ approach. The interview filled me with confidence that we are in excellent hands, and up with the very best in the AFL. Go Dees! ❤️💙
