  1. Actually i really cant stand Port Adelaide, beating them by 119 points would be very enjoyable
  2. any losing team but it would be extra sweet if it was Essendon, im still scarred
  3. The Gold Coast have no access to uncontracted players this year, but what you have described is the reason why i think this year of all years we are a shot to get someone,.. next year the GC gets anyone that wants to swap clubs, the year after West Sydney.. if u wanna come home to Victoria, or just get away from where you are without being shipped off to a starter-club you do it this year or you wait till at least 2013?
  4. so we give up? Its well known Carlton were targetting Judd well before he announced he was moving back, they also had a crack at Kerr as well, Okeefe almost left the Swans last year, Lovett the Bombers, Brennan the Lions....good players can be stolen, if we are aggressive.. but no cos its rare lets not even think about it
  5. Can our brains trust accomplish something that could be the difference between finals and a premiership, something that big clubs count on, and small clubs rarely receive? Can we get a A grader or future A grader to come to us in the PSD for nothing? We certainly should have plenty of cash available to throw at any player that may be a bit disgruntled at their club Our youth looks fantastic, and we have the last raid on the draft before the new sides come in set up, this may be the final piece of the puzzle if we can keep our ear to the ground and target an out of contract young gun Make it happen guys! <_<
  6. great to see passions running hot for the dees, but lets keep everyone on the same train. hope they sort it out
  7. thanks for that Cam, just a quick one, would this facility at Docklands be ours?, as an asset on our balance sheet? as opposed to paying out huge rent fees to the Bubbledome? Also great news on Casey lets hope the council approves the deal!!
  8. its a bloody disgrace, the AFL are out to KILL US OFF.. make no mistake!!!. This year we were not given a SINGLE home night game.. and yes the AFL knew when they did the draw that we were desperate for sponsers and those games give the kind of exposure that sponsers sign up for.. and we did not get 1... NOT 1. Last year i beleive we got 1 home game on a Friday night.. and then the AFL had the balls to turn around and say it was a PRESENT.. a PRESENT for turning 150, this cant go on.. its time we made some public noise about it and highlighted the fixture for what it is, a tool to keep the rich clubs getting richer and the poor clubs to keel over and die.. i am so [censored] sick of Melbourne being the AFL's whipping boy, and for those that say lets be good boys and maybe we'll get looked after in future.. well im telling you if you take that approach we will continue to be shafted, NM stood up to the AFL and look at their draw this year... first 4 home games against Essendon, Hawks, Collingwood and Richmond.. 2 of those night games, one a saturday afternoon game.. the AFL came to the party for North Melbourne.. because the squeaky wheel gets the grease, whereas.. our wheel is just broken
  9. i would have no problem trading a top 2 pick for a Cooney, Franklin, Roughhead, Griffen, Kerr cant think of toomany others tho
  10. The bulldogs have about 26k ticketed memberships, that 29k figure includes their non ticketeds
  11. i would be happy to keep Pia company the night b4 games while Bradleys in the shed. Just want to do my part and all that. Go dees.
  12. The Hawks 'dont think.. do' campaign is excellent if you havent heard it
  13. completly agree, he's ahead of Brock imho
  14. There was once a great club feared by all its rivals, without fail this club would be top 4 every year and had just experienced the most succuccessful period of all AFL clubs racking up premierships like they were bargain rolls of toilet paper after a large meal of spicy indian curry. Yes this club was our club, we owned the top of the ladder. Then Barassi left and we treated Norm Smith like dirt, we pretty much changed overnight no longer were Melbourne continually sitting above all others, instead we were down the bottom all the time, looking to fill each previously won cup with a big lumber spoon, MFC was out of place, the world had turned upside down!! So, the snow joke was born, when Melbourne were doing badly we were all off to the snow, the true meaning has been lost over the years but the joke was we were upside down,.. why snow? get out your crayons and write DEMONS on a piece of paper, turn your paper upside down and you have the MFC snow joke. Carry on! B)
  15. Hmmm, all stands and seats repainted red&blue, and a big demon painted into the grass during footy season! B)
  16. Thanks for helping our club Andrew, its a great story.. has Garry asked you to be on the footy show?, would be a perfect start to getting the brand prime time exposure on the season launch show
  17. Today's HUN has a small article saying Grimes has a back injury and won't be available for round 1. Apparently it's not the same problem that he had with his back last year.
  18. My point was the Age mostly Caro were running stories that tied in with the relocationists while the HUN mostly Damien Barrett were running stories that questioned the whole deal.
  19. If you followed the North to Gold Coast saga, you would be saying the opposite.
  20. I go through lots of tyres! Hankook u get my business!
  21. I think you misunderstood him, he was suggesting the club seek renumeration from the 3rd party supplier, and then pass that onto affected members.
  22. hopefully the reason for the slowdown is everyone plannin to use rudds cash for their MFC membership
