I reckon Pedo will be the travelling emergency and, if not required, that he should get back in time to play for Casey.

Walker's action was so bad that it obviously knocked Johannisen so senseless that he's re-signed for 5 more years at the Bulldogs.

Personally, I think he shouldn't get anything. I lean towards it being a not unreasonable bump in the course of play with an accidental and uncomfortable ending.
Except that if you look a the play you'll notice that the ball was already through the goals when he hit JJ which turns it into something more sinister than a mere accidental bump.

... sigh of relief ... not one of ours.
Jake King allegedly involved as well.

Six day break, long plane flight, a few players sore ... selection will be interesting and intriguing.
First call - Jake Spencer flies across the Nullarbor.

Sad to hear of the demise of someone so young.
Also what's the story of Yze Magic's departure after establishing such a reputation in these parts?

One of our problems stems from Lumumba's intransigence at the end of last season. Had we been able to sort out his departure in good time then we might have also been able to pick up an extra player in the drafts to fit our needs such as tall KPP who could also ruck. This would have been handy in light of injuries to Gawn/Spencer/Hogan.

No Max.
Disappointing after his "best on" performance at training last weekend.

We will have a team that isn't all that much different but it will have extra firness as well as maturity which should make a difference.

Now for another commercial break ...

I think Salem should play - he's had his week off.

I don't really give a rat's about the little sniper who hit him but more importantly, does anyone know how Corey Maynard pulled up after the incident?

Gee the Casey team looks hot!
Depth at last despite our huge injury list
Once you take away the four players who will go out to make up the MFC interchange bench and at least one other held over as emergency for that game, the depth isn't as evident.

He probably doesn't fit the criteria because he's now living here but what's involved in drafting an international rookie like the NZ kid we had over here a few years ago?

What %age of game time was a Clarry on the ground for yesterday?
-
Yes ... let's knock off this curse.
I hope that the preparation for this week is a little better than it was for round 2 last year when the team looked completely listless against the Bombers.

Sheesh ... after reading this I can only see one team so far making the finals and that's us.
Thanks George. I'm off to place a wager on the MFC on Sportsbet while the odds are in my favour.

Fair enough but you've been very tough on Geelong. Danger actually lifted them back into the top 8 in 2016 and they were only one step away from playing off in a grannie.
-
Didn't see Heritier at training today by the way.

The original Mr Biffen was a Biffin, not Biffen, I believe.

One thing unexpected about Maynard is that he didn't look overly tall which was what I was expecting because of his basketball background.
-
Lachie Filipovic isn't just a promising young ruckman. In his final year VCE he scored highly in English with 41 and he also managed a 40 in Further Maths.

Seems to me that the three top FA's are Fyfe, Kennedy (WCE) and Martin.
As we have Hogan, Weideman and T Smith, there's not much chop going for Kennedy. Martin has issues (plus we might have to get a diplomatic pardon for his bikie old man to get him) so it's Fyfe for me and really - my guess is that if we haven't made a play to his management by now then we could be out of the race already.

Does anyone know whether Hamish Brayshaw has to play for the Sandringham VFL because he played for the Dragons or if Casey can recruit him?
