Derksen would fit right in at Demonland. People are already stuffing his name up.
Not prepared to wade into this argument.

Our trading over the past 3 years has been our own worst enemy. Recruiting bargain basement players during trade week, who weren't the right fit, has hurt us badly. Giving Schache another year was mind boggling.
We have a good draft hand this year, and I don't want Tim Lamb anywhere near our picks. Fortunately the Houston trade has fallen through.
Jason Taylor is more than capable of handling any trades for pick swaps.
Why did the Houston trade fall through?

The importance this year lies in maximising our draft position so that Lamb's impact is limited and Taylor has the best opportunity of unearthing more great youngsters.
I don't think this thread is going to cause any disruption within the club mate.
Dan Houston might have a different point of view.

Is Brad Green Jewish by chance?
No and what difference would it make?

Perhaps Cal could explain why he’s in our NGA Academy but doesn’t meet the requirements for draft access?

RE HEADLINE, have they left the building yet?? And if not WHY NOT??
I don't get it.
People are demanding an independent investigation and others are asking why board members and employees haven't left the building.
Shouldn't that depend on what an investigation uncovers or are people always guilty as charged on the say so of other relying on as yet unproven "facts"?

My take,
- Having a player play for you if he doesn't want to be there, will never work out.

For three years we were relatively smooth and composed in defence and even when going forward. We were a fantastic fourth quarter team.
Now, it’s different and the operative word from the way we have finished off our games since the loss to Carlton has been PANIC!!!

On the question of whether and when Shane McAdam gets a game with Melbourne, I would suggest that it will be later rather than sooner. If the club has already decided that he plays with Casey this week, then it’s highly unlikely that he would saddle up four days later against Carlton. The next opportunity would be against the Eagles in Round 10 (May 19) which is 3 weeks away.

I don’t think we’ll play Tholstrop tomorrow night. If we were going to select him for his debut, then they would have made an announcement like they did with Billings, Howes and Windsor when they made their debuts for the club.

Poor Casey might need to pick some Demonlanders to play for them this week.
Casey have the week off due to the representative state game on Saturday between the SANFL and the VFL which is part of the Gather Round.

Seven or eight missing from that team next Thursday but I think we’re better now.

I have a feeling that Tholstrop is going to be one of those players who will relish playing in the AFL when he gets there. For that reason, I think it might be worthwhile for him to be earmarked for an early debut at the MFC … provided he keeps on performing at the same level as his debut for Casey. I reckon he’s definitely a goer who could play 200 games at Melbourne.
Please don’t let him become mired playing on a half forward line in an underperforming team.

Definitely missing players like Dunstan and Munro to get the ball out of the middle.

I like the look of Caleb Lewis. He might be worth looking at in mid season.

The Gold Coast bubble well and truly bursting today.

When is the team selected?

Collingwood dead set robbed there - De Goey didn’t get the free. Then Higgins out of bounds when he kicked the goal.
Love it.

Never fear. The football media will be all over this for the next three years at least.
