Some of them hate the heat. I wouldn't lock Brisbane in.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Geelong need Oliver. They don't have his type. The fact they taken a spud like Worpel over Oliver, is telling. Obviously there must be a little more than we know about Clayton.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Clayton is the best player we've had since Flower. It would take an insane offer to prize him out of MFC. Its a cop out to push him out, and also a cop out to ask him to change his game. How about we work with Oliver, and find out what has changed since he was at his best. My guess, on a quick view of the recent clip in the van, where he gave Dees a whack, and stuttered in doing so, is that Clayton is dealing with a mould exposure issue. Instead of just telling the best since Flower to change his game, actually dig a little deeper and finding out why he lost his form in the first place. We gave Goodwin far more time to improve - than we are giving Oliver.

Bailey Humphrey
I have the best track record and haven't heard anything.

Melbourne Storm
Its a raffle. I thought Reece Walsh wouldve been sin binned for sure, but wasn't. It is a tough watch. There is a lot of high level athletes wasting their time copping unnecessary head knocks

Bailey Humphrey
I don't know how we land Humphrey. However, GC would really want Petracca. He is a household name, and would be their biggest name since Ablett jr. Could it sway them? I am not sure. But they probably want, and need Petracca, as much as we do Humphrey.

Imploding
I actually think its perfect. If we can get something for Petracca and Oliver, move them on, and let them enjoy their football, they have great years ahead of them, and we should get some good value. Guerra seems to be rocking the boat, and has an appetite for change, which is fantastic. King is assertive, no-nonsense, and clear minded. No doubt he will set high standards, and not waiver - on and off field.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
If you can believe Welsh, then Essendon aren't trading Merrett, which means Hawthorn will come at Petracca. GC and Hawthorn have reasonable trade hands. So we should be well compensated should we trade Petracca.

Culley is a huge get for us. He will be a star.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Culley is a good fit for our side, he runs, tackles, takes the game on, and repeats his efforts - he really wants to succeed, nothing was given to him. The fact he has a big frame, and athleticism, is something to be excited about. Tholstrup is the opposite, high draft pick, doesn't repeat his efforts, prefers to admire his work, and has had games given to him. If it were up to me I'd move Tholstrup on for a 4th round pick at seasons end, some side might be fooled by the fact he was drafted early on the board.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
I don't think Goody was a factor. If anything the players appeared to enjoy the day more, and didn't compound as easy - as we usually do. Perhaps that was due to Goodwin not burdening the club anymore.

Farewell Judd McVee
All players wanting to be in the midfield that aren't currently in there, use the pre-season to work on your deficiencies, and strengthen up on your weaknesses. Judd looks to have a lot of talent, but as a midfielder, he would be too easily pushed off the ball. if he wants to be a midfielder, stop whinging about it, and hit the gym, smash the sprints, work on your core, get your body right, and demand the position in a way Ed Richards has for the Bulldogs. Same goes for any of our younger brigade, there is room to push out the star (so-called) midfield players, but actions speak louder than words.

I agree. In an ideal world, we move on Petracca and Viney.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
He's 29. We'd be happy for Carltons first - that Hawthorn have. I doubt we'd even get that. In saying that, Hawthorn don't strike me as a draft side. They've had quality picks, squandered them, and are still where they are. Petracca fits well with their trajectory.

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Looks like a quality talent. Exactly the type of player we need. I can see why Eagles supporters rated him.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
I tend to agree. Their value is that low, that it now makes no sense to trade them. I think we shopped them around last year, and the value just wasn't there, so it won't be there this year. We do however, need to get back into the first round.

Time to go Goody?
Freo shown interest in Gus leading up to his last contract. We should have offloaded him. He already had concussion issues at that point. I don't understand why AFL clubs aren't as cut throat as other sports. Now we are stuck paying for a player who isn't at the club. Clubs have to be smart. Same as when Viney tried to hold out for more coin, and threaten to leave to North. We should've said 'thanks for your service and good luck'. Instead we moved Grundy and ANB for a packet of chips, and both would run rings around our current lot. Grundy is a near AA. Tim Lamb is as bad as it gets, and sadly, we have him.

After the Great Choke
Its just been an accumulation of issues, from replacing a good board - with an incompetent one, then to having no board whilst candidates are on holidays, or not wanting the job yet. Clubs need a strong, stable, and competent board. That is where it all starts, and funnels down to the players. Currently, our players are a reflection of the club more broadly. We are a club in disarray. An example of a club in disarray, is multiple star players wanting out, and glued on father and sons shopping themselves around.

Time to go Goody?
Low IQ coach. Fluked a flag. Wasted the best collective group of talent we've had at the club in 30 years - arguably more. Sooner he is sacked the better.

GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs St. Kilda
Looked over the line.

Can we talk about Kolt?
That is exactly what I see, and also, have never seen anything to suggest he should've been drafted at all - let alone at pick 13.

Welcome to Demonland: Caleb Windsor
Adelaide also offered us the Curtin pick, as part of the Petty deal we knocked back. So we could have had both. Curtin is miles ahead of both, generational player. Good judges were saying he was before draft, and he certainly is.
