The interesting thing for us is what we do with Jones, Jetta, Hibberd, Melksham and Mitch Brown this year. There's some reasonable money tied up here. There may be scope for a strategic poach like we did with Langdon. There's also the question whether the Weed wants to stay. He definitely has currency. From a list management point of view we also need to plan for life after the likes of TMac, May, Vanders, Max, Tomlinson and Ben Brown. Also decide whether Chandler, Lockhart, Bedford, Hore, Baker, Bradke, etc are going to make it.

He is inclined to drop the knees, but don't tell anyone!

Swans midfield without Mills and Kennedy against one of the best midfields in the comp? Just can't see likes of Buddy, Papley getting enough supply. GWS by three goals. Essendon might be a bit like us in 2018 after a finals drought. Enthusiasm and emotion count for plenty in finals. Dons by five goals. Cats will beat Port. Cameron/Hawkins to play blinders. Dees to beat Lions. Would love for us to hit them hard early and then keep them at arms length for the rest of the game.

How young were you when Barass last raised the cup?

So this is how a bunch of old age pensioners spend their time! -
I don't think they bring Hibberd back again. Was brought in for the Adelaide and Lynch led him a merry dance. Smith is not the perfect product by any means but he has the physical capabilities.
-
Think there are three possible tags. Zorko, McCluggage and Rich. Viney might go with Zorko. Sparrow with McCluggage and Spargo to keep Rich under wraps although not a hard tag.
-
Viney was excellent. Gets a bad wrap here. Couple of quietish games returning from injury and people want him dropped/traded/lined up against the wall and shot! And then there's the bullish that Viney, Oliver Harmes etc al, can't play in the same side.
-
Stevic was atrocious all game. The other two were fine for the most part.
-
Thought Viney was great. Happy with Smith.
-
I must have missed something with Smith because I thought he was very solid all game. Competed and spoiled well. TMac's form is a worry. Sparrow's field kicking is still a concern although I loved his tackling and pressure.
-
The positive will always outweigh the negative after a win like that. But I was cursing our leaders (particularly May and Gawn at half time with Hawkins and Stanley dominant) but to their credit they came good. I hope TMac can come good. Salem featured in many people's votes but I think he is carrying something or is in self preservation mode too often. Special mention to Viney and Smith. They were good for four quarters.

6. Oliver 5. Gawn (even though I was cursing him at half time). 4. Lever 3. Viney. 2. Langdon 1. Kossie Apologies to Spargo whose two snaps in the last were huge. Harmes had a good second half.
-
At the draft camp thingy before the national draft, Oliver kicked 30 from 30 in set shots. One of the only draftees to register 100 percent accuracy. Hard to know what's gone wrong since then...!
-
Bulltish. Ball was in play/dispute. Grinter was about a second too late connecting with the pill. As a spectator I was about 30 metres from the incident. The TV replays do Grinter no favours.
-
A high school? Well that won't be mentioned in the channel seven coverage by BT and Brayshaw!
-
In the whole scheme of things who cares? Just some AFL journos opinions. You, me and all other Demon supporters know he kicked seven. Most other AFL supporters will know as well. I don't need the AFL website to tell me what's important.
-
You are confused with Sean Darcy 58er. Darcy at 184 cm won't be doing much ruck work!
-
Added to that Lynch had 29 possies, the second highest of all players on the ground.
-
To kick 7 goals is great effort. Not much more you can do as a forward! AFL-wide it is done so rarely these days. Much easier to rack up possessions in the the midfield. On Oliver I thought Sloan had the better of him for much of the game Tracc and Max were our two best midfielders.
-
More than aware of standard of umpiring, thanks Chief. From memory a couple of them were for clumsy push in the backs which is a technique thing. Giving the ball to the opposition is never a good idea.
-
Hard to know what job Sparrow has. But he was poor again today. Three free kicks against won't endear him to the selectors. Has some pace, doesn't mind mixing it and has decent skills. Maybe just needs confidence? Will make way for Viney next week.
-
6. Fritta 5. Trac 4. Langdon 3. Petty 2. Lever 1. Max Apologies to Jacko, Spargo and Rivers.
-
Sparrow, Hibberd, Harmes, Jordon and Brayshaw are hardly putting their hands up for finals. Very ordinary.
-
You can have your opinion picket but the point Pennant is making is every week, tediously, you repeat the same thing as if we've never heard it before. Once is enough. It's dull, tiresome and monotonous.

Not sure which Crows will turn up. The team that beat us and the Cats and even the Hawks a few weeks back, or the team that kicked only two goals again the Bombers. I have a feeling if you shut down Laird, Seedsman an Schoenberg they don't have much else. With that said in the AFL you only need to be 10 percent off and you can get rolled easily.
