  1. Using unrelated data is also misleading. My point/question was about Clarry’s ability to impact defensively outside of the contest with his pace and his ability to adjust to current game styles..
  2. My preference would be Lever to another club and Adam’s or Derkson replacing him. We need to rebuild in the next two years,
  3. My concern here is in a year when our young talent and commitment is more important as it is clear our premier window is closed, the club is not making any announcements. Particularly after the win this weekend. I’m hopeful it’s announced in the next two days on slower news days. Without an announcement this weekend, it’s more likely he has not signed and he is open to moving elsewhere. Last year’s announcements were on the back of we can bounce back as contenders.
  4. Regardless of any talk on here from GW or journo’s, I’m concerned. The facts are the club is very quiet with any positive news of a signing. The clubs used contract signings last year as a tool for harbour hope and direction. The silence here is deafening.
  5. Internet, informal) An anonymous account (typically on a social mediawebsite) used (temporarily) for activities that the user does not desire to have tied to their main account Just in case I was not clear in my previous post. P.s, I’m being somewhat, kinda jovial
  6. Ghost who walks, seems to be your biggest cheer leader. Your ghost/shadow so to speak.
  7. What are Clarry’s defensive stats outside the contest? Stats, and I’ll keep saying it, are, or can be misleading. In the contest, he will tackle, pressure and scrummage. On the outside, he is slow. The game is all about skill, fast ball movement and pressure acts. Contested ball is no longer the yard stick to our game
  8. Or, possibly sage, incense and dancing around a fire naked howling at the moon. A cleansing as such.
  9. Maybe I am a sceptic Bub, but I am visualising a lot of talk about learnings, talk about love, playing the Melbourne way and being committed to an unknown cause.
  10. Maybe the answer to Clarry’s value is complimenting him with other midfielders around him. He is slow, does not provide a lot of defensive value, but he is a contested ball getting beast. The other factor is his work rate off field.
  11. I agree Nightmare. My only concern with Clarry is, can he play in a different position? His value as a midfielder has not been on display consistently for 18 months and others can provide a better value. I would be happy with Trac playing the high half forward role if he can’t reproduced his confidence as a full time midfielder.
  12. Humour is subjective GW. What you find funny, or offensive, others don’t. Btw, do you have a burner account on DL?
  13. Culley had some presence out on field today. He was in defence, the middle and forward. Not bad for a man who was not on an AFL list until very late and playing in a much poorer league leading up to today
  14. Well that cancels out half the team. Not sure we can field a team in the next few weeks
  15. Not sure if Langford was playing deep forward at times, but he had a few moments he should have marked the ball in the goal square. I was surprised to see his overhead marking being so poor. He could have had 5 goals today.
  16. Download the TAB app 🤓
  17. We played Northern Bullants Sorry for the 4 words…. 🥴
  18. Last week I laughing at the end of the game (possibly from disbelief psychosis). This week I just want to cry. WTF?
  19. Spargo has had a week of training. In - Spargo (to play FF/Ruck) Out - Culley
  20. Haha, take your happiness to the bank Jaded. Windsor showed a lot today and should be utilised in this way moving forward
  21. Possibly talking up Windsor a little. 7 disposals to 3 quarter time rotating through the middle. Disposal is questionable at times, but he does have X factor. His last quarter was fantastic when the game was over (but with us, the game is never over, even when the siren sounds)
  22. Apparently Spargo is better with multiple injuries, no fitness, no pre season and standing at 4 foot 5 inches. 🙄🤨(in high heels)
  23. Not smart enough to get many possessions though
  24. I’m surprised there wasn’t an earthquake and tsunami on our shores and land
  25. Burgess training philosophy was to increase a fitness base first and foremost. Without a fitness base you cannot create a culture of pushing limits further and further to create a mind set under duress therefore a self belief in your body and your fitness. He made this a culture within the playing group so the group pushed each other to go above and beyond each training session. Add to this recovery. He is very good at getting players to buying in to his fitness philosophy. Without fitness, the psychology is useless. Add in the belief in the style of play, the coaching style, the belief in the everyone’s buy in to all facets of the game. (Sorry for the Goody talk -all facets 🤮) Injuries, lack of a pre-season will affect a players fitness base, their ability to compete and lastly their ability/belief in themselves. It is why McVee, Kolt, Windsor, Jefferson, Spargo and others have not performed to certain levels. Selection of said players without a required fitness has ruined confidence in players Players also know their natural physical capabilities. Spargo knows he can’t compete with Max in the ruck. The loss on Sunday was not about fitness. It was about a lack of confidence in each other, lack of leadership, coaching and ultimately, club culture
