Back in the day the AFL (VFL) didn’t have a say in what can and can’t be on a banner. The individual clubs monitored banner content. They still do, but they do so in line with the rules set by the AFL. GWS push the envelope regularly, and personally I love it 😄

Speaking of fingers, it seems Edo injured one of her fingers. She came off, they taped her fingers together, gave her a couple of pain pills and she was good to go 👍🏽

From our DA who were present there today… Tayla’s right ankle is an issue. Very upset on the bench. Tahls limped off and straight down to the rooms. Maybe hyperextension of her right knee. Loz Pearce came off with a neck issue but now maybe just neck and shoulder soreness (?) Apparently our midfield “looked fabulous and rotations through were seamless.”

The Carlton theme song’s tempo might have something to do with it. Maybe it’s the first one toddlers latch onto because they can keep up with the lyrics 🤷‍♀️

Still on GWS… last night they had a blank banner. This was a dig at Sydney who complained about their banner when they played earlier this season. The Swans said GWS had crossed the line… 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Another important training report article… Tracc doesn’t mind the Colgate ad. despite Heeney taking a hanger over him. He said they filmed for hours and it was cool. He didn’t know until he saw the ad. that the footage they used was the Heeney speccy but he doesn’t have a problem with it.

I literally didn’t watch a nanosecond of training since little Bellanie was so distracting. It was players’ family day today and when that little girl is around I’m cactus. Koz brought her over and she immediately looked for my hands since she remembers I’ve always got variations of red and blue nails. Currently they’re glitter red and blue… Bellanie approves. Up until recently she didn’t say Dada, in fact she said everything but Dada. I told Koz to be patient and it will happen. Today Ardu said that she and Bellanie went home (Darwin) for a week and Bellanie clearly missed Koz because since they’ve been home she says Dada all the time. I showed her a pic of Koz on my phone and her reaction was priceless. She smiled from ear to ear and said ‘Dada.’ Bless.

Maysie was here this morning. He’s in really good spirits. I told him how happy we are about the appeal and he said he’s not sure (of a win) either way but we’ll ‘go hard’ and see how it goes. Spaz stoked to be over the concussion thing.

You know what? Ima do this on the train to Marvel on Sunday. 😁 Seriously, I’m curious; I reckon seven out of 10 would predict a win (for us). Understandably it’s pointless publishing my ‘findings’ if I’m closer to the mark because my honesty would undoubtedly be questioned. But if your estimation proves accurate I’ll happily post it on here. No perfume or whiskey on the line with this one though. 😁

I reckon the perennial misery-mongers are in the minority on here, it’s just that they’re the most vocal and because they repeat themselves to the point of distraction there appears to many more of them. The overwhelming majority of people who read this site don’t post but I’m guessing many of them are optimists who dare not post lest they’re brought down by the belligerent usuals. I say this because I’ve received PMs from quite a few ‘lurkers’ and/or folks who rarely post over the years expressing appreciation for standing up to the ‘Congregation of the Miserable’ as one such poster put it. Sadly, it’s only gonna get worse.

🤔 interesting. You do realise there are Dees fans other than those on Demonland, right? Besides, how deep are these depths of despair about which you speak? Coz the supporters to whom you refer likely predict oppo wins every week.
