Who is the new kicking coach? Give him a contract extension!
Our skills improving under a new gameplan makes me think our goalkicking woes were between the ears. Playing with a bit more freedom and less pressure right now.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
Kinda great that all the blokes Gawn and Tmac are closest with are a bunch of battlers and coulda-beens.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Why is there so much AI slop on this site.

There are already tunnels under the racing track are there not?

The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
The idea that we hold any kind of leverage with Gosch’s is laughable.

2009 draft
Gawn has been better for longer than Fyfe was.

2009 draft
Kinda funny how in the early 2010's the broad consensus was we botched that draft (and we mostly did) but somehow still managed to come out of it with the greatest ruckman of the modern era.

The VFL would still be played there but surely we wouldn't be splitting training across two grounds if we could get the whole club under one roof.

The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Ahh, I hate being right sometimes. This is a pretty rubbish outcome to let a homebase slip through our fingers. We don't want to be stuck at Waverley, so we'll choose to be stuck at Casey instead. Makes sense.

Farewell Oskar Baker
Not sure Schache was a cultural issue, just a poor footballer. Hunter was servicable on field but a bad cultural recruit. Unfortunately the club was in massive denial about the culture when we brought him in.

Farewell Oskar Baker
I don't disagree that our list management was ordinary in Goodwin's later years but don't really think Baker is a very good example of that. Bedford, Jordon and Hunt all left because they weren't getting games. Baker has been a fringe player his entire career and is having a purple patch right now in a very good side.

Richmond will just end up using Waverley if we drag our feet.

Farewell Oskar Baker
Baker has turned into a good role player for the dogs but not really sure why people are slitting their wrists over losing him. He's a pretty pure winger and we've got plenty of those on our list already. He's also playing in a top 4 team which tends to make players like him look better. Put him in Essendon's current side and he'd struggle to get a touch.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
Carlton are going to smash us at the clearance and contested possession. We've already been well beaten in those areas over the first two weeks so we'll need to make sure we limit the damage they get out of that. We are pretty good when we turn the ball over though so need to pressure and punish them when we have the opportunity.

We were pretty much always rubbish on the road until the Roos/Goodwin era.

Laid a great one in the practice match against Richmond that lead to a goal. He knows how to do the defensive stuff.

Was pretty funny Eddie hijacked FC last night to sook about his favourite player getting un-suspended.

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Media's reaction ot Longmuire's comments have been ridiculous. Everything he said was correct and no one engaged with his actual point in good faith.

Where did Roo grow up? Got a real country lad vibe about him. I know he played for Claremont as a junior.

MOTY & GOTY NOMINATIONS 2026
Ryan's leap was so good he'll win. He didn't actually mark it but it's always fun to have a bit of controversy in these things. I would love to see Pickett's goal win it all this year. Not the best goal I've ever seen but certainly one of the most entertaining. He didn't know where he was going at the end he was just taking bounces for fun lol.
